these guys are pricing themselves out of business. The past 5 times I've gotten acrylics there they have charged me $70 for a fill. I thought maybe the price had just gone up industry wide until I started reaching out to nail techs around town, most charge around $45 for a fill. The owner is also very rude and very rough. & if you tell him what you want done he will tell you "I do what I want". there really isn't any talent at this nail salon to justify their prices. read more

Worst pedicure I have ever had! The owners mother, who is not licensed cut several of my toes and had to have Sally finish it. My toes were bleeding. I was worried about getting an infection . When I left a $5.00 tip, Sally looked surprised. They are lucky I left that. Sally walked around telling people they had bags under their eyes or dry hair to sell her products. She told me my hair was dry and I need to try her products and sat them on my lap. it was annoying. Never going back! read more

The worst nails I have ever had done in my entire life. I am from Arizona and have gotten my nails done for year from some of the best nail techs in the business. First the lady who did my toes cut half my nail off. My nails were long and perfectly shaped. Now my nails are short and look like a 5 year old did them. The gel is lumpy and the shape is a mix of round and jagged. Then I got a full set of tips and powder, coffin shaped. I have no idea what I actually got though. My nails were all different lengths and bumpy as hell!!! They look like crap and I am beyond embarrassed to walk around with them looking like this. Not to mention I paid $150 for both. I have gone to Impressive Nails a few times and sometimes the service is ok, however, this last time I went to get a fill I had a very simple design picked out and Daniel told me that he wasnt going to spend the time to perfect the design so therefore he wasnt going to do my nails unless I picked out basically a solid color. I thought maybe he was just having a bad day and thats fine, everybody does once in awhile. So I agreed to just a basic color and went on with my day. Daniel, instead of just dropping and leaving the subject alone, after I had agreed to what he wanted continued on to hash out the subject with me and in the end hurt my feelings pretty badly. I would also like to add that I HIGHLY dont appreciate the fact that his wife talks badly about customers in Vieatnemese. I suppose she doesnt expect that a white woman can understand what shes saying!! I do not understand how this place is still in business. Customer service is what you chose as a career choice, I would suggest that if staying in business is what you want, you treat your customers a little better! read more

zero stars. I cannot express how awful my experience was here. Nothing impressive about it. The girl humiliated me about my toes and wouldn't give me the chance to tell her why they were damaged- note never wear open toed shoes to a country wedding. Anyway, the pedicure was ok, a little rough. I just wanted to get out of there so I said I had no time for my nails anymore. She said that by the time my toes were dry she could have my nails done. I figured it's probably a valid point so I went along with her. She made me bleed and then to stop the bleeding she put something that stung the heck out of my cuts. The paint job is awful and uneven and to top it off I was hurrying to get out of there my toes were still not dry and are now ruined. She charged me $107.00 for the worst experience ever. read more

Wow. What a disaster. Where do I start? This salon is owned and run by a married couple. The husband is a tech and his wife does pedi's and designs all the nails on display. Her talent for design is the only reason this place got 2 stars from me. Despite being a tech, Michael cannot do anything but basic French tip and very modest designs. Their other techs are a constant revolving door and you rarely see the same face twice. His wife speaks badly about customers in Vietnamese; unaware that a white person may understand her. That is the most unacceptable aspect of their service. She'll great you with a warm smile then tell the other techs how fat/cheap/etc you look. They have many tables and maybe 2-3 techs working at any time. They take in a lot of new employees who have little/no experience. I went in for a fill-in and an airbrush Halloween design and it took 2 1/2 hours! The design was so bad bc the tech had never used the machine before and Michael stepped in and just did simple tiger stripes on my tips. No discount for my time or their inability to produce a design they advertised. I was so behind schedule I left and never returned. Their prices are a bit higher then most other salons in the area and I theorize that it's due to lack of repeat customers. If you're looking to get your nails done fast, efficiently and by true professionals I recommend Nails by Darlene nearby. read more

Impressive Nails gets five stars from me because: 1. They accommodated my schedule change without difficulty or attitude. 2. The upscale decor and cleanliness was inviting. 3. Daniel, the owner, identified that I was particular about my nails and asked for approval at each transition. 4. Daniel spoke to me straight without the typical pacifying mannerisms one sometimes gets from nail techs. (eg: "You work today?" or "I try to make you happy.") 5. This place is terrible! They overcharge and are so rude. The male owner is unhelpful and should not be in business. I was from out of town and went in to Impressive Nails to get a gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrows done. The nails were not done properly, I had to tell the manicurist twice that she had missed a whole side of my finger. She also didn't cut or file the sides of my nails which I found odd. After two days the gel polish on three of my nails peeled completely off in one piece. I could not return to the store for them to fix it because I was already back home 14 hours away. I called and spoke with the male owner who blamed the nails peeling on me. He also said I should have told the manicurist at the time about the issues with my nails, which I had. She had told me because my nails were so short she didn't want to cut any of them because they would become tender. I trusted her judgement. She also told me the gel polish would last 10 days and keep my nails strong and protected. The was an absolute lie, within two days more than five nails were chipped and three nails had the polish completely peel off, like they were stickers. I called to see what could be done, like a partial refund and they said they don't do that. That I should have come in or told them immediately about the issue. I had tried calling the day it happened but they are an hour ahead and already closed when I called and they don't have a voicemail set up. The man was unbelievably rude and hung up the phone on me. I was already not pleased with the outrageous price they quoted me at the end but I figured different part of the country, different prices. But now after paying almost $60 just for the manicure and having over half my nails either chipped or completely bare I am beyond disgusted by this business. Poor quality products, disgraceful customer service and terrible execution of services. For an owner to hang up on a customer, and I was being calm and respectful, is just beyond insulting. Also, I had paid an extra fee of $10 for them to use the stronger file during the pedicure, and when I returned to the hotel later in the day I noticed there were large dry patches on my heels that had not been filed at all and I had to do complete the job myself. I am so upset by this whole experience and regret ever stepping foot into this place. Beware if you decide to go there, you will likely be very disappointed if not truly angry with the experience. I went in for a deluxe pedi and nail fill. They didn't have a similar color I was looking for. I saw one in their display case and said those were only for sale. They wouldn't use those colors unless I bought it so I told them I'd go somewhere else. For a $6 bottle of nail color they lost an $80+ sale. Slow and spendy. The good: the salon was clean, the tubs had disposable liners, and the metal tools appeared to have been sanitized (maybe even run through an autoclave). The other patrons in the salon seemed to be enjoying themselves. The not-so-good: maybe the worst pedicure I've ever had. I chose the basic pedicure. For the price, I thought that would be plenty. I was wrong. Nothing other than a cursory file on heels, and the massage was less than 5 minutes for BOTH feet. Every nail is crooked, she rounded them as opposed to cutting/shaping/filing straight across (leads to ingrown toenails), my cuticles are hacked, she used the nail file on my nail bed (as opposed to a buffer) which weakens the nail, and the nicest thing I can say about the paint job is that it's sloppy (I took it off as soon as I got home). I have no idea how long it's going to take my nails to recover. I didn't say anything as there was no one available to fix it, and I had NO confidence that my tech would have been able to improve on what she had done. Additionally, I'd already been there for 70 minutes (no idea what she was doing for 70 minutes) for a "basic" pedicure. "Basic" pedicure was $35. For what I received, it was worth about $20. I recently moved from Portland, OR. A basic pedicure in the metro area runs $25 - $28, and you get a lot more for your $28 (shaved and smoothed heels, much longer massage, hot towel wrap). Takes about 45 minutes. I'd consider trying another tech at that salon, but even if the shape/cuticles/paint job is far superior to what I received today, I'm not paying another $35 for rough heels and minimal massage. read more

Wonderful experience! We walked in and had a bit of a wait but they were kind and helpful. The pedicure chairs were clean and they use a disposable plastic liner. They did such a great job with the massage that my husband decided to get a pedicure too. We will definitely be back. read more
