I had a terrible experience with Duane. I had a death in my family and when I called to reschedule…read morethe morning before my afternoon appointment, he did not stop to find out why and started yelling, telling me that he wanted my credit card because he demanded payment for the hour that I was supposed to be there. He is a good stylist and Debbie is really good with color, but Duane gets angry too easy and does not think before he judges and God forbid, says things he cannot take back. Also they push their special products and make you feel horrible if you do not buy what they are pushing. On top of that, they did not have what I needed in stock and they sold me a product that was not the strength that I need it for my hair type. In other words. I feel like they would do anything just to make a sale. When I expressed my opinion that the product did not get good reviews, Debbie got defensive. Two years ago Duane told me that I did not have enough money to come to them and then later on he thought about it and he apologized. But now we go through the same thing again only this time I don't think he's going to mend his ways. If you can handle his high strung temperament this place might be just fine for you.

I didn't want to bother cause I saw that the salon lady was already servicing someone. so I waited until someone came up to the counter. One lady did and I told her I wanted a highlight and root touch up and i asked how much that'd cost. she looked at me like she was grossed out by me and said under her breath "yeah girl we can tell you need that" then just gave me the price chart and left. we all have bad days! and she looked like she was in a hurry. So I understand being brief but the comment was not necessary. for reference i am a 17 year old girl and she looked like she was in her late 20s. How weird. I didn't get her name because I walked out very quick because i was kinda embarrassed about the whole interaction . so for now I'm skipping going to this Ulta and just ordering online lol
