I am not sure what planet the guy Brooks W., below lives on but I am pretty sure it's not this one. If I recall I have seen him try to post this same poorly written "alleged" customer experience on other social media websites back from 2017. What i fail to understand is why he insists on re-posting it without changing any of the incorrect terminology and grammar which I will focus later. He claims he is a lawyer having just passed the bar exam. Well, if it were me, I would never use him. The first reason being is the poor terminology and grammar. How good of a lawyer would he be? I am thinking the sort that couldn't talk his way out of a wet paper bag with a pair of scissors. Anyway, let's roll. Here we go.
Misspellings & Grammatical Errors
Paragraph 1, "genuiness". *Buzzer* Wrong, it is genuineness.
Paragraph 1, "google". *Buzzer* wrong again idiot. The proper title case of the company spelling is Google.
Paragraph 2, "firms". *Buzzer* wrong.. showing possession would be firm's.
Paragraph 2, "organizations". *Buzzer* wrong again, wow you are bad at this. Again, showing possession would make it organization's.
Paragraph 2, "IMPACTs". *Buzzer* ouch, wrong again, showing possession would be IMPACT's.
Paragraph 3, ".. I always used to take good care of my laptop and downloaded the best malware onto it.." HAHAHAHAHAHA! So what you are saying is you love to have your computer infected and have your so-called amazing piece of technology run like crap. Sounds like to me you did that on your own, IMPACT had nothing to do with it.
Paragraph 4, "lightening". *Buzzer* Wrong again!!! The word you are looking for is lightning. Which I think you were struck by once or twice by looking at your photo (seen later).
Paragraph 5 , "shuttering". *Buzzer* What!?!?! Shuttering is temporary structure made from planks, is your computer made of wood? LOL
Paragraph 6, "apart". *Buzzer* Wrong again... I think what you were going for here is a part unless you were trying to separate from good business.
... there was probably a few more I could have highlighted but you get the picture. The short story here is, don't ever use this guy as your lawyer unless you are being sued by Lego's or the crazy cat woman down the street.
Now for the REAL Story
I happen to know a thing or three about IT because I have been in the industry as a private consultant since 1996. There is no way this story actually took place the way Brooks W. reports. This is nothing more than a poor me butthurt story from some loser trying to make a perfectly reputable and creditable business look bad. I have worked with several applications that MSPs use to manage their client computers. Not a single one of them has ever or could ever make a person's computer "inoperable". They don't even make the computer run slow. Typically there is an Antivirus component which most computer users should be running anyway. Next, there is usually a remote management and patching component. This typically bypasses the built-in Windows Update feature and sends the updates that are tested and approved by the company instead but they still come from Microsoft. Not even Microsoft is perfect folks, sometimes they goof too. And finally there is usually a remote control piece of software so the company can assist its clients on their computers. This would be something similar to the popular TeamViewer or Join.Me applications, but usually much better. All of this together would not make a computer slow or crash or useless as Brooks W. would have you believe. If his computer was inoperable, it was most defintely because he is likely a very inexperienced user and has no idea how to use a computer. There is the other possiblity that is so-called poor family pitched in and purchased him the lowest budget laptop they could get, which would only be doing him a disservice for law school.
Many of the people I have come in contact with have mentioned IMPACT to me and can't say enough good things about them. I have heard things like "their technicians are extremely helpful and we couldn't do business without them." Or things like "they take on the problem and own it until successful resolution." None of this sounds like the type of scenario Brooks has described. Further, this same negative review he has tried posting on Google and Facebook with very small changes in the story...except for the obviously poor grammar. Face it Brooks, your experience never happened like you said, if it even happened at all. Go bother someone else you weak weasel Owen Wilson wanna-be. read more
