Date of visit: June 12, 2023…read more We stopped here as our friend's daughter had never done go karting before and the reviews were decent so we decided to give this place a try since it was just a few blocks off the subway. Staff were not particularly interested in engaging with us from the very beginning and it just got worse when we got out on the track. I told the guys running the karts that this was her first time but they just ignored me. Then they had a bunch of folks on the track with us that were clearly regulars, and who also hit me multiple times while we raced, despite that the video you watch before the race says that any contact between karts is strictly prohibited and will result in removal from the track. Guess they didn't happen to see any of those instances... Such a shame, too because this could have been a fun experience. If you are a novice to karting, don't come here!

Action 500 - It is an expansive track though not all of it is used, which seems like a waste.

Situated in Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez, up north of Laval, for those who don't know where that is,…read morethis is an outdoor paintball. Let's start with the experience first. It was my first time doing paintball and I got to say; it was very fun. You start the day pretty early (our reservation was at 7:45am; for those coming from Montreal, it's about 1 hour drive). Even though they say it opens at 8am, the employees are ready to go. The parking lot is a bit far from the "base camp" but they have a shuttle to pick up people. So if you want to leave stuff in your car; it's a good idea to do it as you arrive. You arrive, fill out some papers, sign some sheets, and start your day. The lockers are kinda small and a bit sketchy; some of the doors are broken so choose wisely. Bring your own lock. They give you a "onesie" with a number on it and they start the safety speech. I have to say it was very entertaining and helpful. Then you choose your gears; there's different level of equipment that you can get; ranging from basic guns, protection, and ammunition to almost "machine gun", 1100 bullets and basic protections. Obviously the better equipment you get the more you pay. I got the basic safety stuff with 200 bullets. You play in groups of about 40 people. 20 on one team and 20 on the other team. You play several scenarios throughout the day. Lunch break includes in the price then some more scenarios in the afternoon. The scenarios are super fun, the animators very energetic and friendly, the food is ok (hotdogs and pastas) but it's a great experience to have with a large group of friends. Total day cost for me was about 70$. Why is this a 2 stars? The down sides: you are playing in dirt. Get ready to get dirty. Get ready to get hurt because the bullets can cause bruises. The part that ruined the experience for me was that there was no pros/amateurs separations. We had some pros in our group with their own gear and guns which made the games a bit unfair. They always try to balance the teams but it's not fun when you have the basic guns and your opponent shoots 300 bullets/minute. Bullets: 100 bullets is not enough for a day. I would say if you play conservative; you need about 300/day. If you want to have fun ~500/day. Last year, the company Bigfoot got into some scam promotions: they faked some contest where everyone who participated "won" credits for a paintball experience but basically you just "won" a reservation. People who won had to pay the full price for everything. If you cancel your reservation they keep your money. And the person on the phone was very rude to customers. Overall, paintball is an expensive experience nonetheless, it's still fun. Don't participate in their contests.
