It took me a couple of months to get around to getting the car repaired, though they were still happy to honour the original quote. I sent them an email, and they said that I could drop off the car the next morning, and were able to have the repairs completed within 3 days, just before I needed the car for a trip. I did get a second quote from a panel beater closer to where I live, though this ended up being $600 more expensive. I am very happy with the quality of the repairs carried out, and they were also nice enough to clean the exterior of my car. I wouldn't hesitate recommending their services.

Thankfully the company said they'd cover the damage. When I rang around for quotes, I was shocked to find out you need to replace the whole tail light! McLean motors was good on price, but what really impressed me was that they also found a second hand option and quoted on that as well. As the ferry company was paying I went with the new replacement, however I really liked that they gave a cheaper option. They could fit me in the next day, so I drove out there, waited half an hour and it was done. On the invoice they only charged me $50 for labour, so again I have no complaints about their prices. When I was there a regular customer came in, they called him by name, recalled his car type, and discussed when he would need a service. This seems to be a really good mechanic, equipped with all the mod cons but with a satisfyingly old fashioned notion of service.

I contacted this dealer workshop once I knew what was wrong, who claimed that they'd make the correct choice of spring. Contacted head office and received a reply within 24 hours advising that Fulcrum would make good the error at no additional charge. Took it to the Browns Plains workshop where the job was done right. Car now rides level and handles safely. Would definitely return to and recommend the Browns Plains workshop.
