For some context, I stumbled across Ben after seeing a reddit post recommending prenup lawyers in CA and ended up hiring Ben to draft a prenup. He was fantastic and all his positive reviews are well-deserved - from the beginning, he was fantastic, patient, answered my questions clearly with excellent reasoning, responsive, and was a great person to interact with. I also wanted to add that I'm a lawyer myself, so have some extra insights which might help anyone reading this review - these will also indirectly address the two sole negative yelp reviews I saw. In my opinion, it can be really hard for regular people to find a great lawyer at an affordable price, and Ben is definitely that. My experience with Ben was that he really knew his stuff - I was doing my own separate research and reading relevant statutes/case law, plus carefully reviewing the contract of course, and everything he said was spot on. Unfortunately, you won't get that level of quality legal knowledge with every lawyer out there - and if you have a nuanced situation, random internet research won't be as helpful as a great lawyer who spends time researching and analyzing your specific situation. This leads me to another point: Ben struck me as the kind of lawyer who is willing to tell you things that you may not want to hear, and that is exactly the kind of lawyer you want. In my opinion, there are some lawyers out there that will tell their clients things to get more money, for example by leading their clients to believe they have a better case than they actually do to get more legal fees. My impression of Ben is that he's not like that, and that's why I have and will continue to recommend him to any of my friends that want a prenup or any of the services he offers (in fact, one friend also hired him for drafting their prenup as well). I am an active client, and my communication with their representative, Kristina Taryanik, has been consistently disrespectful and unprofessional. I am not sure whether Vitalii Maliuk is aware of what is happening, as he does not respond to my attempts to contact him. Kristina Taryanik is withholding my USCIS documents and refuses to send them to me. She constantly invents new prices for services, tells me one amount over the phone, and then sends a higher amount in writing -- and later denies ever saying anything different. It is unbelievable: a full case costs $3,000, yet a case that is already fully prepared, where she only needs to review the documents and check the errors USCIS already listed in their notice, suddenly costs even more. It gets worse. I am told things like "we never said that" or "I don't remember ever speaking with you," even when we clearly did. Over the phone, she told me that my green card would be denied because my name was written in lowercase -- and then immediately sent me a form that they themselves submitted to USCIS in 2023, where my name is also written in lowercase. Then she asked me who prepared that form. This level of inconsistency is shocking. I am also told that my documents are "full of mistakes" or "missing files," even though everything is there. It is obvious that Kristina Taryanik does not take the time to review anything properly and instead tries to increase the price by claiming that my documents are poorly prepared. This behavior is unacceptable. Do you really think all your clients are that naive? I don't know who else tolerated this treatment, but I will not. I will not allow anyone to treat me this way, and I will make sure this behavior is not repeated with me or with any future clients. This has now become a matter of principle.
