The "paper work" arrived on my mobile phone which I completed. Rather than wait there, the check-in person would call me about 15 minutes before my waiting-list opening. After I got home, I was called and given a firm appointment time. The labs were quick. Saw the Doc. Rx was called in to my pharmacy. My Rx was ready for pick-up before I got home. Five months later-now- I had excellent IT help by phone guiding me through the patient portal setup that I'd neglected to do at the time of the visit. Then I returned to the clinic to request my X-ray (to take to an upcoming orthopedic consult) and I was treated with great courtesy and efficiency again, by receptionist and then MA or radiology tech (not sure of his title) on 9/7/22. However, I was very rushed by the discharge nurse. When I woke up in recovery, I was feeling very sick, and my head was spinning. I asked my husband to turn off the light so I could rest for a few more minutes, but the discharge nurse came in loudly, turned on the light, startled me, and handed me papers to sign. I wasn't sure what I was signing since I was still disoriented. She left for a moment and then returned with a wheelchair, preparing to take me out immediately. I understand the urgency of her role, since I'm also a healthcare worker, but I really wish she had waited until I was stable before moving me. I also felt a bit unsafe when I arrived at the hospital around 5:20 a.m. There was a man lingering in the parking lot with his pants down, and he tried to speak to my husband and me. When we got to the door, all the lights were off, and one of the doors was locked--I almost walked to a different entrance. Inside, it was very dark, and I was worried I had gone through the wrong door. So, while the care itself was great other than the discharge process, getting into the building at 5:20 a.m. was really confusing.

Even though one of the swabs wouldn't be able to give a definitive answer in 2 days, she made logical guesses as to how to treat his condition and prescribed cost-effective and efficacious antibiotics.
