I love their food and the unique seasoning. Their french fries is among the best I've tasted and the portions are huge. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend ordering their chicken-halve with french fries and mushroom gravy (aka Jaegersosse). I am a big fan of the Bratspiess restaurant and I always try to stop by whenever I visit Bad Hersfeld.

This McDonald's is located at a rest stop that is a WHOLE industry. There's gas, air, convenience…read moreshop and everything you need on your road trip. I stopped in for lunch and ordered from the screen, without incident. It wasn't too crowded. My food was ready after a minimal wait. I ordered a few things and they were kind enough to offer a paper bag to carry it all in. They obliged when I asked if I could grab a couple of extra napkins from the counter. Service was decently friendly, which is refreshing. The cleanliness was suitable. I would come back if I am in the area again. It was very convenient. The parking lot is kind of small and tight and the drive through is one direction. This is nothing new but note that it's kind of easy to go in the wrong direction at first!
