It was so quaint and peaceful, in the middle of a small town with a playground across the way. The menu was in German and she helped us translate the WHOLE menu. This is a really beautiful place with a helpful and kind staff, everyone in my family of 11 was happy and stuffed when we left. I don't have a single complaint or enough kind words for this small town restaurant. If we come back to Germany we will be back!! Definitely worth stopping here.

Think everyone one knows what they are getting or not getting here. The thing is recently... I think they must be running some sort of pilot scheme or something here because the meals are being delivered faster and in better condition. They seen to be assembling on demand. You order, pay, get a ticket and pick it up from the next counter. I guess you could say least you will get a hot burger and fries! Having said that. My fillet o fish came piping hot... But would have been nice had the dressing been plonked dead centre like it's suppose to be! Yes I admit it. I worked at a local McDonald's when I was 15. It was a small town. Not much choice, either there or for my father... McDonald's were willing to pay! They seemed to have improved their cleanliness too! Something we were anal about at our McDonald's which I have to say there are not so good at here! Was going to give this a 3.5 but don't know how to give half points. PREVIOUS REVIEW Only after having had a fantastic dinner did I understand why it was inevitable to make a reservation. From the outside, that seemed not necessary, as the entry looked very neutral. The inside ambience, however, was very artsy and cool, and the place was packed (even on a weekday). The staff was super nice and the newbie from Israel did great and made excellent recommendations even though she was unnecessarily self-conscious. The food was wonderful, unusual, and offered a colorful and tasty spectrum of different food items. The mixed appetizers (gemischte Vorspeisen) was superb. The crispy dough, filled with potato and onions, with cabbage, parsley, and mushrooms was delicious. The half duck, filled with apples/onions, and served with Knödel was unparalleled, so juicy and tender, it was unbearably tasty. And last, but not least, the Bavarian cream with cherries sweetly melted in the mouth ...
