Not a very good experience. My son is a two year old non verbal toddler who got kicked out because…read morehe ran towards the parking lot. I personally feel like he should of never had access to the parking lot to begin with. I was told he took off when the teacher was handling a behavioral issue with another child and she was the only teacher outside with them at the time. Another child having a behavioral issue is not my son's fault. I was left a voicemail about it when I was at work and missed the call by four minutes and I called seven times to get a hold of someone and got no answer. The voicemail stated that he ran into the parking lot but the incident report filled out stated that he never reached the parking lot and only ran towards it but the teacher caught him beforehand. The teachers there had told us before this happened that another child also ran into the parking lot and it seems to be a reoccurring issue there. Prior to this incident I was on maternity leave and had been dropping my son off around ten with no problems for two months. One day I brought him in around ten and the teacher told me that they would not be able to provide him a lunch because he got there past nine thirty. I mentioned I had brought him after nine thirty for over two months and it was never a problem until now and nothing was ever said to me or mentioned the night before when I had picked him up. She said that he will not be able to eat with them and I needed to bring him a lunch if I wanted him to eat. I had a Dr. Appointment that day for my other son and had no time to get him anything and bring it back before their lunchtime. The following week I went to pick my son up and the teacher argued with me saying he was not supposed to be there that day and I can't bring him in on days he is not scheduled. I assured her that he was supposed to be there that day because he goes on the days I am scheduled to work and I was on maternity leave but I know my schedule and he had been going there for four months on the same days every week. I truly did feel like my son was targeted because he can be a lot to handle and they just didn't want to deal with him. I had a meeting with them after the parking lot incident and they are very nice but unwilling to make safe accommodations for the children and expect them to know right from wrong at such a young age. All around a very unprofessional place & after hearing all the scary stories of daycares I feel upset that I had to witness this with my own son.

If any parent take their kids to the YMCA by the planetfitness gym here in Perrysburg, please…read moreobserve the staff closer and bring the problem to the directors because the manager there don't fix things. YMCA Child Development Center At Fort Meigs 210 E. S. Boundary Street Perrysburg, OH 43551 Today at 4:30pm i went to pick up my kid and as always they allow anyone to come in without seeing id before entertaining in the establishment. But this is not the major issue, I witnessed a older group of kids maybe around 12yo kids and 2 "teachers" had ordered two girls to drag these 4 big heavy trash bags to outside ( she made the hole class go with them just because the "teacher" needed to take the trash out ) this lady made this poor girl very upset and as she would do and complain to the lady that she didn't want to do it the lady insisted for her to not drag it but pick it up and let me remind you those bags were TRASH and heavy. Well, it started to spill all over the carpet, the "teacher" was raising her voice and started to bully this girl, and said she will have to clean it up after throw all those bags in the dumpster. Outside she again spoke loudly and harassed this girl so the girl who were already sad started to cry and turn red, the " teacher" persisted for her to "suck it up" . I could no longer see that again, i had to interfere, What kind of institution allow these behaviors from staff to the kids?!?!?! I defended the girl and right the way went to talk to the manager who never show to care about problems. This is not the only time i have seen kids dragging trash to outside. They should not be doing in contact with trash ( it is not sanitary) and far from correct to expose others to this that should be the staffs chore after the kids are gone not while they are there. I feel like most of the "teachers" make the kids think that they are helping but infact she is being lazy to do her job and because she doesn't want to do that at night she drags the hole class to throw the trash out so they can leave to their house right the way. So many people looking for job and the poor choice of staff at this location it is insane. I have so many more things that i can bring to your attention but I honestly I don't think anyone care to give a good environment to these kids, i see kids being traumatized and treated poorly in dirty filthy floors, bathrooms, and toys. It is disgusting. Ill make sure to expose my opinions to the Perrysburg community.
