I called the office and they put me on hold for over 30 minutes,but they never answered.

If I can give this place IMA clinic in davenport a zero I would. The staff is good very pleasant but the Dr Miranda is a very unprofessional Dr. Very rude and things he can talk to you any way he can. I have reported him. the WORST office staff you can find (lakeland office)- took 2 months to get a referral to a Gyno for an 80 year old woman bleeding vaginally. They never return calls nor do they follow thru on request - now have been waiting a month for a referral to freaking ger a hearing aid - so they send the referral TO AN UNKOWN DR. instead of the one that did her first hearing aids AND then they send a referral to the original hearing aid doctor THE SAME DAY - these people are AWFUL steer clear! now I will say the Nurse practioner, Dr. Korley and Amy are all wonderful - it's just wading thru the garbage first that is frustrating. read more

Dr. Degnan in my opinion is the BEST Dr. in the state of Florida period! However, the office staff has a NASTY greater than thou additude, & either cannot or will not peocess the billing correctly! Instead of me having a 150.00 credit where it can be proven through bank statements - they are saying i owe them another 150.00, & to top it off BCSP signed a contract with IMA to where the co-pay would be 35.00 not 50.00 & IMA REFUSED to hold up their end of the contract -so BCSP Atook them out of network. Forcing all of Dr. Degnans (an AWESOME Dr. & person who REALLY CARES for his patients & are treated like humans & not just a # or $ sign & now are forced to find another Dr. This is unhonorable, unethical & totally UNPROFESSIONAL way to run a business! IMA MEDICAL GROUP is the most unprofessional group of people. Gives Dr. MICHAEL DEGNAN a bad wrap. Dr. Degnan is one of the top doctor's is Florida, yet he is not kept informed and has lost over 40% of his patients without notice. Their billing practices are atrocious. Their bookkeeping needs to be looked at. 1 month you are billed one thing then told you owe another amount only to get a third bill in the mail with yet another amount on it. When confronted with the mistake office staff becomes confontational and nasty to the point they called me multiple times a day at one point. I called insurance and they tried to talk with office staff, fell on deaf ears. They eventually told me they no longer take my insurance even the IMA website clearly says they do. Very disappointed I can't see my Dr. I have had for over 20 years. Dr. Degnan offers excellent care as long as you can get past office staff. Something more should be able to be done. I give Dt. We went to the first office next to motor vehicle in Lake Wales omg i've never seen such an incompetent doctors office and doctors seven days. It took to get five referrals and each referral was wrong. Then went to the office in winter Haven the Doctor from day one was rude because we didn't stay at other office i was considered a trouble patient all he wanted to do was tell me I need Hospice I'm no where near ready I had pneumonia but he said I was fine I would always be like this next day was admitted to hospital 5 days then my home nurse was canceled because of him then a test from doctor just so happen to get canceled he took it up upon his self to make decisions about my health without discussing it with me needless to say I would run and stay far away from this group. They're terrible even this office can't even get referrals right it takes four days five days to get a referral and they're wrong then you have to waste more time. I am no longer with this group and will never return. All he wanted to do was put me in hospice and tell me I need to see him once a week that's stupidity. read more

My mom has been trying to get scheduled in as an Existing New PT with Dr. De la Rosa for the past 2 months!! And everytime they cancel her appt at last minute (3 times). Now they saying that Dr. Ruiz is NOT ACCEPTING new patients. They just cancelled her appt again. Don't waste your time with this office, staff is rude and have no sympathy for the patients. I have been trying to get a referral for an orthopedist since DECEMBER! It is now SEPTEMBER and I am almost in a wheelchair. I was also told RSV is only for children and I don't need the vaccine. I am 70 years old. I was also told by Dr Demello that she does not recommend or not recommend Covid vaccines. She has never once listened to my heart or lungs, but is constantly telling me that I need tests that they will perform. I have filed complaints with my insurance company to no avail. I have never had less confidence in a doctor. We all deserve better. read more

I can't say the doctor I saw, De Mello, was bad. Although when you are half deaf and you are being spoken to by a lady with a strong Latin accent while she's wearing a mask, it can be frustrating. My largest issue is this. In 2023 when I began my relationship with the office, around April, I asked them to please facilitate a script and authorization for a Free Style Libre 3. Well... it took 4 months for them to finally get what was needed. Enter 2024. I need a new script and authorization for the same. They send the script to the medical supplier, but do not send the authorization to my insurance company. I called one week later to remind them after my insurance company called them and left several voicemails for a Del marie. Nothing. And they get mad at me for being frustrated with how they are not doing their jobs. Get my insurance to call them again. This time we get Casey on the phone who thinks she is doing us a favor speaking with us. We tell her what we need and she says she has to refer the matter to Lupe and it would take a day, maybe 2 or 3. I called the insurance company. Nothing. I call Lupe to speak with her. Voicemail. No call back. I am certainly glad that what I needed wasn't a matter of significant health issues, or I'd be in dirt! Office is terrible. I've left for a new practice. I hope you have better luck than me. Perhaps you are the right type of person they will help. Sure didn't care about me who has a vast amount of health issues. read more

Doctor wanted a mammogram. Patient was given a business card for company A (which does not take their insurance). Dr. order was sent to company B (45 minute drive from patient home). Insurance company rep could not find a company to give mammogram. Patient had to find a radiologist, call doctors office for doctors order, call company to see if they take their insurance and have order faxed to company C. This all took over 2 hours of phone time! This is not a way to run a medical practice! read more
