does anyone else ever get cravings for ... (wait for it) ... FRESH GINGER?
no? maybe that's just me? anyhow, new zealand's a fine place to be a ginger-lover (i've already sampled three different varieties of micro-brewed ginger beer and, have since become an addict). tangent aside, this juice bar hits the spot.
not only is it directly across from my office, they also have reasonable prices, you don't have to wait in an obnoxious 15 minute line (*cough* tank *cough*) and they use hurom slow juicers which are designed to squeeze every last nutrient out of that fruit, veggie, nourishment of choice.
today i opted for a beet, apple, fresh ginger (DUH) concoction which had the perfect amount of zing to get me through tuesday afternoon. a small 3-4 veggie/fruit juice (served in a generous 16oz cup) will set you back $5.90 - which i think is pretty fair given competitor prices and the quality of the juice. plus the service is so darn friendly, you just have to return the smiles.
i do wish they provided straws, though. something just feels weird about sipping a freshly squeezed juice coffee-style. read more
