It is a Mecha-dragonfly that the original artist did an amazing job on, and I just wanted it touched up and improved upon as it was just the stenciled outline.  About 9-10 inches wrapped around the upper arm. I gave them multiple suggestions and ideas that I would like to see about getting if possible. I also sent them a picture before the appointment. I stated in an email that I know I may be asking too much with my needs beforehand, which included my many ideas. I just wanted to throw out ideas to see what sticks. I have a darker skin tone and I knew that may be a hindrance to some of the effects I wanted. That is why suggestions and ideas from their side would have been welcomed. Last time I checked, white is still a color that can be used in a tattoo. Front of house basically told me about why nothing I suggested would work. No suggestions or ideas from their end. Weird. After listening to him drone on about why nothing works, I had to stop him and ask him to tell me what they can do. They could NOT do mechanical components or at least incorporate that with animals. NO Steampunk, NO stain-glass ability, NO mechanization, NO making insects look menacing, NO creating a shimmer/iridescent effect, and NO to coming up with alternative suggestions from their end. Which is fine---but you know...If they felt this and knew this---they could have just told me in a reply to my email of all the things that they couldn't do so it wouldn't waste both our times. The guy basically said that if I was an albino, they may be able to work with me. (seems like an odd thing to insinuate) Or---I have a totally different approach/opinion to what an artist can or can't do. I was not looking for Banksy---but just an artist who can think outside the box. Color by # tattoos is not my style. This could have been a very amazing project for them to show off. It will now go to another. Their loss. Bottom line is,---- I did not feel welcomed there, which may have been intentional. ---Which is fine, because I had my own preconceived notions before I went there, which seem to have been accurate. Funniest thing is----I had $1100 cash in my pocket to throw down for this tattoo. I heard laughter as a left when my last statement was that this seemed to not be the place for me and giving my thanks. A really strange quasi-hostile business experience and I expect a quasi-hostile response. :) It is always a good idea to know if you are the correct clientele for any establishment within the community. However, I am thankful that they were up front about all the things that they couldn't do-- because giving them my money for them to experiment with would not have been prudent.

They answered right away and were able to give me a quote over the phone, Steph is so kind! The whole experience of getting the piercing was excellent, any questions I had were answered and I felt at ease about the whole process (I had scar tissue from when I first had my ears pierced with a gun so I was concerned about that affecting the process and was able to discuss my concerns and felt reassured that it wouldn't be an issue). Steph was quick and explained everything as she went, we ended up having a great conversation. During checkout they give you an after care pamphlet and stress to please call if you have any issues with your piercing! Second, he shaded in a part of my friends tattoo that was NOT supposed to be shaded in at all and I don't know what he did to mine but it scabbed up and ended up coming off. All I got was 444 and the 4's were all difference shapes and sizes when he literally had a stencil to trace. You should be ashamed of yourself and absolutely do not need to be tattooing anyone. Came here instead of going to the mall for a helix ear piercing because I thought I'd get it done…read moreright. Well that was not the case. Right off the bat I had to sign waivers that stated I received education on care of my piercing etc, even though I never did get it. I figured I'd get a printout of everything afterwards or at least get told by the guy doing it. Nope. The guy (never even told me his name) had an extremely flat and timid personality. I showed him where I wanted it, and he said he didn't have any studs, only hoops. I told him that even though my goal was to have a hoop, I heard it was better to start with a stud because they don't move as much and cause less irritation and promote better healing. It was as if this was his first piercing because that seemed to be news to him! Miraculously, he found some studs. At this point I should've ran away, but I thought if mall teenagers can do a piercing, how bad could this be? Well I found out!!! He put a dot in the area I said I wanted it and handed me a dirty mirror to check... seemed to be in the right spot so I said ok. Then did the piercing, handed me some tissues and Q tips and walked to the front desk. Never gave me the mirror afterwards to see if it was ok and there were no mirrors on the walls for me to check. When I got to the car and could finally look at it, I saw it was completely crooked and you can see the backing of the earring from the side. Great . I should've gone back in and said something but it wouldn't fix the hole in my ear. Why would he not go straight in, towards my head? Instead he went through the fold so if I put a hoop in it, it's going to look ridiculous. Glad I didn't get inked here because at least I can take the earring out or cover it with my hair.
