Dr. Tosiou was my first gastro guy, as I like to call him, and was stellar in all regards. I then had a subsequent colonoscopy (third, actually) with a different gastro at a larger, more renowned facility. Well, suffice it to say that it was not a good experience, also in all regards. I told Dr. T that I would never cheat on him again and he then explained why the experience was not a good one and that each body type has to be taken into consideration when doing any procedures. Wow. Who knew? Obviously the other facility did not. The good news is he was so kind and utterly unperturbed that I had wandered into other pastures, so I am back in the fold of his practice. Seriously, I would say, if you need a gastro guy, he is as good as they get. If there is any downside to the practice it's that he may be difficult to speak to directly if you have questions regarding your health status. He listens closely and pays attention to your concerns; he provides answers to those concerns in a detailed but not overwhelming way. The staff were communicative and friendly, letting me know when he was ready and sharing updates along the way when he took extra time to come out of the twilight sleep. The office is a bit hard to find, tucked back in an office park where all of the buildings look the same and we found the patient pick up parking a lot easier than the drop off parking! The area for pick up can be a bit tight, so be mindful that you aren't blocking anyone's parking spot while you're waiting for your patient. The waiting room area seemed a bit tired and ready for a refresh, but otherwise it was a positive experience for me--which is probably easier to say since they weren't sticking anything inside me!
