If I wouldn't have called AGAIN to confirm, my elderly father would be standing on the side of the road waiting on a ride that never would have shown up...no email, no call, NADA. I re-confirmed as when I called the first time, the person answered was like "Yeah", so I kind of doubted the reliability/dependability, and sadly I was correct. The very bad parts were the price and the cab, itself. The dispatcher told me there was a $35.50 minimum price, which is ridiculous. But I was desperate and didn't have Internet access so I could use Uber or Lyft, which I did on my first ride of the day, from my home to a medical appointment for less than $15.00. It was only 6.8 miles! The $25+ difference in the rides was outrageous! What upset me more was how disgustingly filthy the car was. There were suspicious stains all over the seats and the headliner. I could just imagine someone projectile vomiting from the seats to the headliner. Then the door was also extremely dirty! The car was smelly (you could smell old cigarette smoke) and the A/C didn't work...at least not in the hellish back seat. I asked the driver if he could make it cooler but, I guess, he couldn't. When I got home, I took off my clothes and told my daughter to burn them. And then I wiped myself down with Lysol disinfectant wipes. I honestly felt subhuman sitting in that nasty car. I will NEVER use Checker Cab of Lakeland, again. NEVER!

I ordered my cab the day prior to go to the airport and I was supposed to get picked up at 6:30am I didn't get picked up until almost 7:30 luckily I was shooting to be early to the airport and not on time or I would have missed my flight. I thanked him and proceeded to review list of other taxi companies. I then received a text from Johnny letting me know if another Taxi co who might be able to get here sooner to help us. What a surprise and a blessing! I was able to call them and my husband did not miss his flight. MR. JOHNNY MAC is an awesome asset to Yellow Cab.
