The cost of the journey was £49, with a tip, £54. The same journey last year was £30 I thought the rise was excessive. I use Silsden taxis because they are competitive but this was pricey. Absolutely dreadful. We booked a taxi to take us to our local station. A journey taking about 7…read moreminutes. Allowing 27 minutes to get there. When it was 10 minutes late I called them. They told me it would be another 5 or 10 minutes late. This did not leave any room for loading cases , paying , buying tickets etc. We had to take a taxi into Leeds to make our connection. Not with them.
