After arriving at 18:45 on a Friday, we waited about an hour to be seated. It's the type of welcoming ambience that immediately makes you feel at ease. The servers were attentive and friendly. While the atmosphere was strong, the food was what stole the show. The appetizers were very good with the herring and skagen particularly standing out. The meals were all stellar. The fried artichokes were sensational. We had the strawberries and cream for dessert (not pictured). This was likely my favorite meal in Sweden.

She had asked for a table close to a window - which we got. However, I got the view (blocked by umbrellas) while my fiancé had a wall. Anyway, no biggie, just a surprise. Now, the food. The food was AMAZING. They had so much to choose from. 1 table of cold cuts with different herrings, salmon, salmon pie, bread etc. 1 table of hot dishes with scrambled eggs, omelets, soup, chicken, bbq ribs and pork (yum!). And 1 table of desserts with pancakes (with cream, 3-4 different jams, chocolate and maple syrup), pastries, brownies, croissants, apple-based desserts and much more! The food was very well prepared and frequently refilled by attentive waiters. They were equally attentive when it came to clean our table from used plates. They were all friendly without seeming pushy and we had a wonderful experience and have already decided to have our Christmas dinner there. A 5 star rating seem reasonable since the window-issue isn't big enough to warrant a loss of a star.

We had just arrived that afternoon and were walking around our hotel to look for an early dinner. The dining room is lovely but not too stuffy or formal. We ordered the brown bread for starters, along with some wine and beer. I ordered the Arctic char (parsnip, chili, hazelnuts, browned butter and a soy glaze) and Paul G. went with the meatballs (hand-rolled and with cream sauce, mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickled cucumber). We had the traditional Swedish meatball dish a few more times during the trip and they all came with the same components, but Bistro Bestick's was my fave. The sauce was heavier, velvety and creamy, and the potatoes were oh so fluffy. The berries were tart and fresh. I loved my fish, too... the hazelnuts, brown butter and soy were such a bright, unexpected combination. I enjoyed every bite. Don't sleep on dessert here! I couldn't even finish my dinner but still wanted to try the chocolate rum cake (salty caramel sauce, roasted peanuts, vanilla ice cream and crispy sesame) and what a delightful flavor explosion! It was beautifully presented and the sesame "cracker" on top was the perfect contrast to all the sweetness. I'd highly recommend BB!

We were hungry and just wanted a decent dinner prior to going out that night. Dining here was one of the best decisions during our time in Stockholm. The meatballs were absolutely amazing and one of the most memorable meals of my life. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive. We came here tired and left satisfied and ready to explore Stockholm nightlife. If you're in Stockholm, visit this restaurant and try the Swedish meatballs.

I remember this place as a small ice cream kiosk and was pleasantly surprised during an evening walk when I discovered that the kiosk had been extended and turned into a full service restaurant. We met up with some friends for dinner and had to wait for 40min for a table. I think You can make reservations? Next time I will try. The menu has great variety. Fish, steak, chicken and pasta. As well as some salads and soups for appetizer. I had steak, my husband chicken. Our friends had pasta and fish. All dishes were way over what we had expected. 5+ ! Very fresh, tasty and impressive. Took away 1 star for very slow service. They were busy, looked like they might need to hire some more staff? Overall a GREAT visit and we're excited to come back again next summer.

Entrecôte was served with a nice Sallad. The meat itself was well cooked but a bit to salty. As a appetizer we we're served really nice piece of flank steak. The bread and butter was good and the beautiful small madeleines served together with the coffee was to die for! Friendly service and a odd but nice location in the basement beneath a shop in the middle of Swedish suburbia. Great value for your money and a good enough reason to get out of the city!
