The proprietor, Sherry, brings years of professional passion and experience in this field of collectibles and older stuff that simply matters or is of interest for fun and personal preference. I appreciated her sincere welcome and her openness to questions as I explored the merchandise area. Easy parking right off the state highway. I plan to stop by again when passing through on the state highway. A fun place with a helpful owner/operator rooted in an authentic appreciation for this older stuff and a desire to treat customers well. Nice small town charm, ethic, and good energy.

One stylist left and I switched to ***. Not mentioning the name as she is a super stylist. Just not great at calling back and making appointments. I called 4 times in a week and half. The receptionist said she was with a client and would get back to me. 4 times, no one ever called. I'm an existing customer and I Knew she wasn't taking new clients. Wish I could do that when I have 6 total care patients and suddenly 2 come from ER! " sorry, I'm full up!" Guess hair is more important than saving lives! I called back one last final time a few days ago. Again I was told she was with a client and would call. I mentioned how disappointed I was with the service from her after many calls. I was going to write a review on Yelp. Knowing she wasn't calling back, I left the house. Surprise! I guess Yelp threw her over the edge to call. I had left for town and missed the call. I did not make an appointment with her after all this. She not the only great hairdresser in 3 counties. She apparently just thinks she is! I

We were told that he could rent shoes at Wink. My husband and son went down there at 4:45 to inquire about renting. Turns out, they don't rent or sell. The owner, (assuming, and I wasn't there to get her name) offered to let us use her grown sons shoes. Problem being, her son is in Georgia! She OFFERED to get up at the crack of dawn and get the shoes for my son. Not even sure if they would fit! She did know this was for a Young Marine to wear to a murdered policeman's funeral. She was willing to go way out of her way to help my son for the purpose of a funeral in Roseville. My husband didn't want to put her out anymore and told her how much he appreciated her help but she had offered enough. He went down and found a pair at another store.. She couldn't have been anymore kind hearted in the situation. She knew the story and wanted to help! Besides that her new boutique is full of fun, fancy and priced appropriately!

So I went in, asked if they had books related to games, and this employee started to say (and in a very forceful and rude tone by the way)... "we don't carry those, you NEED to go to GameStop". And then he started to stare me down as if he was trying to start a fight. However, I remained a good sport, and I simply replied with "I was kinda looking for older ones". And before I could finish my sentence, this employee interrupted me and said "GO online", in that same rude and forceful tone. I don't know if book barn is a good store for books, but I won't be going back. And I'll also tell the people in my area about that rude employee. If book barn wishes to stay in business, they have two choices. Either that employee needs to get an attitude adjustment, or he needs to be let go. Cause I can guarantee that that store wont get as many customers with that employee working there.
