The four of us ate about half the menu:
- Beef, two ways -…read moreone cooked in hay and salt crust, the other was a super tender beef cheek
- Trout
- Smoked eel with cauliflower and nuts
- Beetroot Gnocchi
- Char with Horseradish Foam
- Dessert we ordered something and desserts seemed to keep on arriving
- Selezione del fromaggio
Everything was great. They've had two Michelin stars for a long time and I'm not sure how a Michelin star expires but their website does not mention that they have any for 2013 or 2014.
Yes, the meal came to over $800 (including tip) for 4 people so it's not something you want to do that often but the different wines coming with different courses and the level of attention was really something. All this plus a (limited) view of the South Tyrolean Alps outside.
We toured the kitchen before eating (more bites and wine) and really wild how huge this kitchen was and how many chefs/staff were back there considering this is only a nine table restaurant.
