Really, I love this place, I do. The people are friendly, accommodating, usually drinking wine themselves (Italia!) and all that... This does have one huge drawback though - the bathrooms are located in the center of the food/bar area and boy, can you smell them. I do and will go back.... but I can see why some wouldn't for that last reason alone. The prices of course are good as with any snack bar.

We went here on our last night in Italy, and it was the absolute perfect way to end our honeymoon! The bar makes truly fantastic cocktails (which are hard to find in Italy actually if it's something other than beer or wine), and we were craving an Old Fashioned and some music...and this had both. The band, which I cannot remember the name of now, consisted of a pregnant singer who was absolutely phenomenal, and a few other guys (drummer, guitar etc). The cocktails, service, music, and general vibe was so fun, warm, and welcoming! Loved this place and grateful we found it...one of our favorite memories of Venice!

In Italy, I was looking forward to tasting local wines; however realized that even restaurants with high ratings and an extensive wine list did not store their wine properly so red wine was served warm. That is not the case at Enobar Ostinati, and I was pleasantly surprised that the wine was a perfect temperature and also delicious! Enrico, the owner, has his own boutique winery called Midora about an hour boat ride from Venice, and at the store, he serves his Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Merlot as the house wines at just 3.50 euro a glass! He is very nice, down to earth, and passionate about wine. We were lucky to have met him! He said he wants to eventually start group wine tours from Venice, so I hope he can fulfill his dream.
