I am usually a fan of Ruby Blue Chinese take away when it comes to getting chinese food in my area, mostly because they're open till 1, but Top Taste's food is so much better. I got the sweet and sour pork and it was so delicious along with the rice and chow mein which i ate the following day as well and was still quite amazing. One of the best things about Top Taste is the fact that you can order online so you can pay with card and just type in your phone number and address so there is little confusion or miscommunications. So after we found our place in Hackney we were very excited when we found this place. Last night we wandered in and talked for a little while with the folks working there. Everyone there was very nice and helpful even when it took us ten minutes to decide what we wanted. Their everyday special (one starter, main dish, side dish, and rice or naan) was a feast for one person even by American standards. My wife got the vegetarian special and got vegetarian curry, mixed veges, and garlic naan (no extra charge!). I got the chicken tikka masala. The mixed veges and vegetarian curry were practically identical and the chicken tikka masala was sweeter than I was used to. A few helpful notes: the frequent flyer card they have set up is pretty forgiving (a free starter after three meals, a free main dish after 6 meals, and a full special after 10 meals) and they deliver within a 5 mile radius for free for totals above 10 pounds. Overall we had our first filling dinner in London and are planning many more deliveries from this place!
