I got the Tarfuto, and wouldn't change a thing about it MID - Pricing is slightly high at about 15 to 16 EUR. The ingredient quality is good though. And the margarita was probably about 10 EUR. - I was able to eat the whole thing myself, though I probably pushed myself at the end. You could in theory share this with someone. - If you intend on dining in the restaurant, make a reservation, as there are probably only 3-4 small tables. Otherwise, take-out is fine! CON - The wait time was definitely a surprise to me when quoted - maybe 40 minutes from when I ordered. In reality, the wait time was even longer

I am a pizza lover through and through, and I think this place is a must-visit for thin crust pizzas. The prices are also very reasonable, considering the quality and taste of the pizza. Probably the best pizza you'd find in Bordeaux. I live 2 blocks from here, and so I see a line waiting outside almost all the time. The place is very small. I think there are only 3-4 tables, so it can't accommodate too many people at all. Many of the customers order and pick up their pizzas later. Depending on the time, if you're early, you can get your pizzas ready in 10 minutes, but if you come during the busy period at 8pm and later, expect to wait for 30 minutes or more. If so, the area is right by the river and has great places to stroll and see, so time will go by fast while waiting. My personal recommendation is the Bosciola. For a small place, they have a whole wall of Italian wine. Never tried, but I think they have a big selection for such a small place. Bon appetit!

The attached is Buffalo Mozzarella with truffles and exquisite type prosciutto. It was our appetizer but very filling. This restaurant books up quickly so you have to reserve in advance. My only negative is that I don't think they are very family friendly. In person I could not make a reservation (I think the guy saw me with my kids and said he was completely full) but the next day I just called and they seemed more flexible. Also the menu isn't exactly kid friendly. Therefore I am recommending this restaurant for a nice night out with friends or your partner!

A MUST if you are in Bordeaux and have had enough of eating duck and foie gras... and if, like me,…read moreyou are a veggie, you've probably been having a hard time even finding anything to eat! This place is worth every penny you spend. The location is great, right next to the Grand Théâtre, in a beautiful building. The main seating area is on the first floor : it's all wooden tables, candles, fireplace, shelves stacked with sardinian products... cosy, elegant and trendy at the same time. While you choose, you're offered a plate of delicious olives and charcuterie to munch on as you desperately try to choose amongst the mouth-watering dishes... The evening menu at 29€ is a great deal if you are of the indecisive kind : you get a selection of 4 entrées - of which a GOBSMACKINGLY DELICIOUS baby spinach salad with hazelnuts, basil and olive oil, I could have just had a gigantic bowl of it in lieu and place of a meal - a main course (choice of 2 pasta dishes) and dessert. You'll probably be full by the time you've eaten through the entrées, servings are generous and if several of your party are eating the same dish, it will all come as one portion to share, which is actually really nice (my knee-jerk reaction being :'it's MY food'!) and gives the experience a very festive, earthy feel. Otherwise, for each dish, you have a list of all ingredients and the list is always reassuringly short : it all sounds super fresh, the mix of flavours may sound surprising but are just as surprisingly appealing, it's really a tough call! Standalone dishes are pricey (up to 30€ for a pasta dish) but look truly amazing and again, you won't leave feeling hungry, for sure. And to be honest, my tiramisu was good but I'd definitely splash out on a lobster pasta dish rather than save up space and money for dessert. Service is nothing extraordinary but efficient nonetheless. It might be an idea to book on a thursday/friday or weekend if you want to make sure to get a table. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm back in Bordeaux (and going to Sardinia one day too!).
