Unlike most of the restaurants we visited while in Bordeaux, La Cagette serves their food a la carte. This was a nice change of pace from the set menus we found elsewhere. The ambiance is modern as opposed to traditional; very welcoming and warm. Service is quite good, and all the staffers we interacted with during our visit spoke very good English. As for the food, everything we tried was very good, though not truly exceptional. Our stand out favorites were the Pates aux Coques (which was lovely and the Squash Soup (which was even better). We very much enjoyed our dining experience, and I have no problem recommending La Cagette to others.
