I was drawn to this place by the high reviews, but left slightly disappointed. The restaurant is small, so it is better to make a reservation. The two people who run the place were very nice and gave us a warm welcome. However, I found the food to be good but nothing too special. I chose the Calabrian pizza since the owners are from that region of Italy. The chef tried to convince me that it would be too spicy for me, despite my insistence that I would be ok, and he didn't put some of the spicy peppers. I am used to spicy food and didn't find the pizza to be very spicy. The toppings were good but the crust was quite average, nothing like what you can get in Italy. I also got some pasta, and again the ingredients were good, but it wasn't anything to remember. Overall it's a comfortable place with warm service, but don't expect exceptional food. However, it could be one of the better pizza places in Bordeaux, since my local friends seem to think it was very good. read more
