Very friendly staff, super service all around, gorgeous room, amazing views, gorgeous golf course. Of course all the restaurants in the grounds are over priced, but that is to expect. The property is beautiful and sprawling - easy and fun to explore with the inclusion of free bikes everywhere. My husband and I enjoyed riding the bikes around the winding trails across the property and using them to get from our room to the restaurants, bars, pool, and gym on property. The pool was beautiful, as was the beach. So many wonderful places to sit outside, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The gym was very large and well equipped. I do regret not taking advantage of the spa services as the entire spa/fitness complex was very serene. Service was outstanding. Ambiance was incredible. Rooms were luxurious (particularly the bathrooms!). The resort is so sprawling that no one part of it ever felt crowded. It truly felt like we had so much privacy. My only complaint is that food prices in the seafood restaurant were a little high for food that was just ok. But we thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and patio in the main building, as well as a more casual dining option near the golf clubhouse. All in all, I wish we would have spent more of our honeymoon at Verdura. Our stay seemed far too short. Final thoughts - an excellent, romantic getaway for couples, but I suspect this place is also a family paradise in the summer months. It is situated on top of low hill, surrounded by vineyards with the blue Mediterranean sea at a distance. Our room was large, modern and clean. It had a little lavender garden outside and a view of the vineyards and the sea. The beds were neither too hard nor too soft, just perfect. You can enjoy the little gym or relax in the infinity pool or the sauna, but the real attraction of this place is the wine and food. Planeta, which owns La Foresteria is a Sicilian wine producer and we had the opportunity to sample their products under the guidance of their competent sommelier. Very nice! The 6-course dinner was exceptionally good! Well composed and presented and absolutely delicious. The breakfast offered a very nice buffet with plenty of options, both hot and cold. As there are only 14 rooms, I can't imagine it ever getting crowded. At our visit only half of the rooms were occupied and the place felt quiet and peaceful. A highly recommended hotel!

So nice we extended our stay to make it the base of our wine tasting activities to Planeta winery, Feudo Arancio winery, and others in tbe Sambuca di Sicila area. Typical Italian style where a huge breakfast is included in the price and I noticed mostly italian, French and German guests. Great for families, helpful staff and clean facilities that are all brand new. Couldn't recommend it more, we will be back!

The staff was polite, friendly, and went above and beyond for all of our needs. They made you feel like a welcomed family guest. Their hospitality is top-notch. The food prepared fresh onsite from items in their garden was the best we tasted while in Italy (even better than Rome). Breakfast was included in the price of our stay, but we were also offered lunch and dinner for an extra fee each day. We did the dinner on two of our three nights there. Their wine, also produced on the estate, is excellent. I had to order some from Wine.com in the States when we returned. While relaxing by the swimming pool at the manor house, I couldn't help but notice how peaceful it was, with zero background noise. I was also pleased with the laundry service, which they provide for a small extra fee. The cost of our stay was very reasonable. It was a great value for the money. While at the airport and about to leave, we realized that I had left behind an essential item. The owner again went above and beyond and brought it to me at the airport in time for us to make our flight on time. My wife and I are already talking about wanting to go back at some point in the future.

This was the most amazing thing I've almost ever eaten. Then this was followed by some fresh fruit from the garden. And then I mentioned the wine? They make their own wine from the Vineyards.
