Antiguo caserón reformado por Javier Mariscal y Fernando Salas, que han utilizado, para un logrado interiorismo, desde roble y otras maderas autóctonas, hasta piedras calizas y granito. Con más de treinta años de historia en la ciudad de Vitoria , en el restaurante Ikea ('pequeña colina' en euskera) es el chef Iñaki Moya quien capitanea un equipo que se mantiene fiel a la tradición gastronómica alavesa con dosis exactas de imaginación, modernidad y sentido común. En su carta encontramos terrina de foie con puré de manzana y melaza de tempranillo, carpaccio de gambas de Huelva con sus vinagretas y sorbete de gazpacho de su coral, arroz cremoso de perdiz con sopa ligera de queso Idiazabal, lomo de merluza sobre crema de espárragos blancos, mejillones, berberechos y verduritas y hamburguesa de pato azulón, con lasaña de piña-café y salsa de cacao. Disponen de varios comedores (principal, privados, para eventos y bodas) para reuniones privadas o eventos de hasta 100 personas.

I'm salivating just thinking about this traditional Basque restaurant…read more Singley the best thick-cut, melt in your mouth, delicious, tasty beef steak I have ever tasted was bought here. I used to live in this city, in the Basque region of Spain, for a year after university. This is a great city for food and this was one of the best places I found in town. It's a little more pricey than some places but worth every penny. The Morcilla (Spanish black pudding made with the addition of paprika and rice) served here is also fantastic and makes an excellent starter!
