I went to this IHop location for lunch with my grandmother. When we arrived, the place was basically empty, so we didn't wait long for a table. Our waitress quickly got our order when we sat down. While we waited for our food, I just noticed some trash and dishes left on other tables. For a drink, I tried the new Strawberry Lemonade Splasher; it was really refreshing. For my meal, I decided to go with the Philly Cheesesteak Stacker and Onion rings. The sandwich was just really juicy and delicious. The Onion rings were also very crispy and paired well with the stacker. read more

Front desk lady was terrible, had no sense of urgency, bad communication and didn't know what was going on. I would never go to that ihop if I were anyone. Food took an hour to come out as well. Overall terrible experience. read more

For once we got sat right away. We were one of two tables seated in the dining room. But, it took another 10 minutes to be noticed by the server. Finally, the young man came over. He took out orders. We both got the special cinnamon bun crepes. Looked good on the menu. After a full 30 minute wait, the server brought crepes with the cinnamon sauce ladled over and had no fruit. The sausage linked were burned and inedible and the scrambled eggs were cool to the touch. When I asked about the fresh fruit, he said, they were out of it. There's a Walmart less than a hundred yards away. I asked for fresh, unburnt sausage and write the eggs off. The crepes looked awful and just barely lukewarm. Pics below. I got tired of waiting for the sausage I asked for and we just left. The last two times we've been to this particular ihop, we've been ignored at the host station and never even sat down. The host's wouldn't even make eye contact. We ended up leaving and going someplace different. I'll probably never go back. read more

Elisha was our server. She was friendly and very efficient. Our meals came quickly, hot and cooked exactly the way we ordered them....Nice to be served real whipped butter supposedly from Wisconsin. I find this location to be clean which matters most definitely. Honestly, I think the IHOP in Millington to be a hidden gem. More folks should give it a try. read more

We went in for brunch and was sat after about a 10 minute wait (which is not bad considering the shortage in staff). Once seated, they immediately started with our drink and food orders. The waitress was really good. It was like six of us and she remembered our orders without writing them down! I had the Fajita Omelette. It was really good and packed with chicken, sautéed veggies, cheese, and topped with sour cream and salsa. It came with 3 buttermilk pancakes. They were good as well. The biggest thing is the cleanliness. The floors were not clean and we had to have our table re-wiped again before we could sit down. Again, I understand there is a shortage of staff, but I would've waited a few minutes to have things cleaned properly. read more

When we first walked in it took 10-15 minutes for someone to seat us. This location has good food and service, BUT no one knows they're open when it gets dark because no outside lights are on. If you want to keep business PLEASE turn your lights on so people will know that you're open. I was in there last night and Brenda waited on me. She was awesome and my food was great! The cook did a phenomenal job! I talked to the waitress about the lights. She said that business was slow at night and I told her "it's because no one knows your open!" Your competition is coming with the new Waffle House opening down the street very soon. Trust me when I tell you that the lights on at night is SUPER IMPORTANT!!! Thank you! read more

The server was friendly and due to shift change was the only one on the floor. Unfortunately the area was a mess...the floor needed to be swept and there were many tables that had not been bussed. We were eating a late lunch... We both had burgers. I had onion rings that needed to be cooked a little longer. The burger was good. My veggies for the burger came on a plate (didn't want the bun) and they were a bit wilted. Came time to pay and there was NO one at the front counter. I waited for about 5 minutes until our server (now with 5 or 6 tables) came to ring us up. Think Mgmt needs to hang out and see what is going on! At least they could help bus tables, sweep and ring up tabs. The server was gracious and professional. The food overall was good. Think if Mgmt. don't get on top of helping out during shift change the ratings will continue to dwindle. I have worked in a restaurant as a Mgr. and if I would have walked in and saw how unkempt my store was I'd be ashamed. Either hire a busser or help out read more

Possibly the worst IHOP experience to-date. Wait-person was abrupt, too busy to pay attention to any details, too busy to take new customers (told the greeter to NOT sit any new customers for a while, too busy - and did this while standing at our table). We had only one detail to attend to with our meal order - and - it was ignored. In fact, the wait-person stated, "we'll see if we can..." (asked for extra crispy bacon.) Geeze, how hard is that. Would have saved the wasted time taking it back and, of course, the pissy attitude. Meanwhile the other two (2) wait-persons were rocking along and handling customers with ease. Took a look at the receipt and noticed the name of the "Area Manager' and realized any complaint would be lost... Just sad that an almost institution like IHOP can go down the tubes. read more

Walked in at 11:45 Wednesday morning. Let's start with the good: 1)Server was attentive. 2) Decaf coffee was fresh. OK. That's it for the "good". Not so good: I ordered from the menu a bowl of "loaded potato soup with bacon". Five minutes after ordering, server returned to table to say "We're out of that soup." Scanning the dining area (less than half occupied during lunch time) I saw no soup bowls. Learned from another server that they had been out for more than a week. OK. Out of soup. Fine. Asked my server for "Two pieces of wheat toast and butter." You ask "How can they screw up toast?" They managed it. Ten minutes later toast comes out, with bright green matter on the cut edge. It was obviously not cut with a clean knife. Gave the plate back to the server, pointed out the green, and said I'm not eating this. read more

Ordered online and went into pick up-because they had no spaces available outside, since it's parking for employees not customers. Went in to pick up, apparently there was "confusion" with my order. They didn't address it nor did they tell me about it. When asked, it was cause too many orders came in all at once. I'M THE ONLY CUSTOMER! I ordered my order at 8:15 am, it's 9:15 and I'm still waiting. Should of left but we know howling it takes with them returning your money. It's ridiculous. Skip this IHOP (should be IBOP)! The best word to describe my experience at Millington's IHOP would be 'nightmare.' Yes, that word describes it quite well. The whole experience started as a 10 minute wait to be seated. Now, normally I wouldn't be too upset about having to wait a bit to be seated. But there was a total of 6 people there when I arrived. Yes, I counted. Six people. Ten minute wait. I was finally seated and placed my order. While I was waiting on my food I overheard one family claiming that there was GLASS IN THEIR DRINK! Nightmare stuff... Besides this, there was only two waitresses working there. One was on the hustle. She was busting her buns to take care of the few tables she had. While my waitress was standing there texting and chilling. Despite the lack of friendly service, once my food got there, it was actually pretty good. I ordered the patty melt with fries. Easy peasy. The sandwich was killer. Perfectly cooked and very good. The fries were cold, but they were rightly seasoned with salt and tasted pretty good. Overall, it wasn't a great time. The waitstaff is way undermanned. The cooks seem to have it together, though. I really can't, in good conscience, recommend this IHOP. read more

I don't know what it is. Some IHops are good and some are bad. They -- You know -- hop back and forth. Maybe that's what IHop means. Then why not change the name to iSurprised!? This one was bad. My favorite breakfast is steak and eggs. That's what I ordered around midnight this week. The eggs were too done with pools of grill fat; the steak had the taste and texture of a steak that had been soaked in water for a day, rubbery and tasteless; the toast was black. Is there a master list of good and bad IHops? read more

I was seated this morning and ordered the breakfast crepe and coffee. Families continued to arrive, ordered, ate and left. When the waiter brought my crepe it was cool and the cheese inside was hardened. Obviously it must have sat for a while before I received it. I told the cashier my long wait when it wasn't busy, served cold food and no refill on drink and the actual waiter walked up, laughed and walked off. This iHop is the worst I've been in and I travel the country. Their Google reviews are extremely poor and I'm not surprised. read more

No idea why this place only has two stars. We stopped for breakfast while waiting for our son at the naval base. It's been a hot minute since we've been to an IHOP as there's not one by us anymore but we used to go to the one by our house every Sunday for years! This morning's omelette was the BEST omelette I've ever had, IHOP or otherwise. Pancakes on the side taste exactly the same as the ones we'd had every week years before. Nice to see they haven't strayed from the recipe. Server (Brittany) was attentive, place was clean. Kudos to the chef on my omelette! read more

Terrible. Dirty, and wait staff provide very poor service. I dont know where the manager is but not on the floor. When I came, it was almost empty but I had to wait to be seated and wait 10 minutes for my order to be taken. I then WAITED 40 minutes for my food before finally giving up. They had the grace not to charge me for my drink but unbelievably bad restaurant. Highly recommend NOT eating here. read more

This place is very unorganized. I have ordered from here multiple times, multiple different ways and every time we drive up there at the time given for it to be ready only for them to not have our order. Then we have to show them the reciept and wait extra time for them to make the order and when its done 99% of the time something is wrong on the order. On the off chance they do have our order (which is rare) we are missing at least 2 to 3 items. I love IHOP but this place is a mess. After this last time I doubt I will order from them again. Cracker barrel is futher from us but at least they have our order ready and we dont have to put up a fight just to get some pancakes. read more

Went to ihop in Millington, sat out front for 10 minutes and had to ask to be sat. When we finally got sat we got a really nice man waiting on us who got our drinks and took our order, also apologized 2 or 3 times about the slowness and guarentee that our food would be out shortly, just to wait another 20 minutes.. The people who were sat before us took their order after us and got their food before us. We ordered biscuits and gravy, and an order of pancakes and bacon. We sat for 45 minutes to an hour without a lick of food on our table. We walk out mad as can be and go to the gas station across the street when 3 employees walk in behind us. I called and asked for Corporations phone number and was given the WRONG NUMBER!!! Might I add that all the employees *including the manager* were smoking dope out front in their car. *managers name is Angelia (so she said)* My 10 year old little brother had to witness all the employees smoking dope in the parking lot... Reasons to describe this Millington IHOP is that it was 1) It was fast seating around 245ish p.m. because there was no one. 2) lack of attention when asking for refills. Tend to get distracted and have to wait on a second or third refill for 5 minutes or more when there are less than 3 couples. 4.) My server was not asking questions on how we are doing or checking on us regularly. I'm not saying that all servers at the Millington,TN IHOP are lacking m, but need more work on how to serve tables better. read more

IHOP - Got to be the worse management in the restaurant business. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Millington, Tennessee

Oh. My. God. Look, we all know IHOP has a reputation for crap service. We know this. But it's always a revelation when IHOP can find new ways to elevate their bad service game. We entered and the restaurant was about two-thirds full, kinda busy, but there were about four or five servers. So each server had maybe three tables at most. And the other servers seemed great! But my table, along with a couple more, got the service from hell. Our server got to our table about ten minutes after we were seated. She took our drink order: three waters. Fifteen minutes later she returned with the water and took our order. She didn't return to our table for over an hour. We saw her occasionally at her other tables but then she disappeared altogether for about 40 minutes. You know your service is bad when you are talking with other tables about possible escape routes, or the possibility of just getting a pizza delivered to our table. Now I don't know what the server was doing. Executive smoke break, bathroom break, taking a few bumps of crank behind the place? Who knows. But she finally came to our table with the food nearly two hours after we entered the hellhole that is IHOP. International Hellhole of Pancakes? Our server said she was going to get us refills since the water had evaporated from our cups by this point, but guess what! She disappeared again and faced with despair, we decided to take the extraordinary step of stopping another waitress to ask if our server was actually this slow, had possibly quit the job since we last saw her, or if she had maybe died in the back somewhere. We didn't know, but this other server, I think her name was Merriann, she was amazing and actually brought us refills promptly and comforted us. Our server came back around and then blamed the other servers for our long ticket time. She said the other servers were stealing her orders off the line. Not only is this kind of unprofessional, but it doesn't make any sense. Our table all had unique orders, probably the only orders of those dishes at that time in the restaurant. The idea that the other waitresses had stolen my sirloin tips numerous times to give to their tables is nonsensical. Besides, our server spent 97% of her time in the back anyway, shouldn't she have been right there to grab our plates? After she was done rambling and making her sad attempt to save face and making everything about her, we managed to get a word in and request a bottle of ketchup. And I'll be goddarn she went immediately and promptly brought a bottle of ketchup to our table. AN EMPTY BOTTLE OF KETCHUP. I guess we weren't specific enough. Next time I'll remember to ask for a bottle of ketchup that actually has ketchup in it. So at this point she disappeared again like the Houdini of Horrid Service. Which was fine, we had our food and Merriann had refilled our drinks. Eventually our server returned and asked how we were doing, and we asked for the check. She couldn't find our check and had to go away to make another one. She returned about ten minutes later with a check. We paid with a debit card and she went to ring up the transaction. She returned and thanked us, wishing us a goodnight. Only she didn't return the friggin debit card! So we had to ask for it back. A wonderful way to cap off a memorable meal. I'm giving it two stars because the food is always pretty good at IHOP, and for Merriann being a godsend. read more

I used to like to eat here and liked it until today. Got the worst egg Benedict ever. It was a fried egg with a hump of ham. Mind you not Canadian ham. The fajita omelet got served with chicken n cheese. No sour cream or vegetables. Where r the vegetables ????? Second time around no change in the egg Benedict and the fajita was DRY. Asked for the manager he or she wasn't even there. The lead server arguing with me and try to tell me how Canadian bacon suppose to look like. SMH. And yes I paid the full bill.
