We were model tenants and paid $36,000 in total for the year we lived there. we handled a majority of our own maintenance work because they were awful about responding in a time manner. we left the house looking better than when we moved in and she's still trying to keep $715 out of our deposit! On the phone and in person, the staff is polite and helpful. However, they are completely understaffed and behind in their maintenance. I am sure maintaining hundreds of properties is no easy task. They, as a business, should additionally employ at least three more full-time maintenance crew members. To my knowledge, there is only one full-time person. While it has been my experience with him that he does good work, there is no reason why any task should take five months to complete. Renting in Corvallis is already extremely difficult. In my experience, many Corvallis rental companies are proud slum-lords, happy to take the rent and give no services in return. At Home Properties, unfortunately, has shown me that they are in this group. The rusty water mentioned in other posts is a problem where I live as well. I realize older homes and buildings require large scale maintenance such as pipe replacement, electrical replacement, appliance replacement, mold prevention, window replacement and more. As a rental company they should be aware that this is what they signed up for. Rentals need to be taken care of, otherwise the units will no longer be suitable for renting out. It is my hope that At Home Properties should begin to care about the properties they own, and to make long-lasting improvements instead of quick and temporary fixes.

David is highly experienced in the rental business, very responsive (always picks up calls or responds within minutes), takes care of your property including repairs as though it were his own, and is flexible to meet your particular needs. We had a unique situation with a short rental window and David turned the property quickly and found a great tenant. In addition, strong wind storms damaged the property and David coordinated the repair of damage to the outside of the house and oversaw the work directly to ensure it was done properly. am writing this review as a serious warning to prospective tenants…read more In my experience, this property management company failed to provide a safe or lawful living environment and ignored repeated tenant concerns. During my tenancy, I was nearly assaulted by a neighbor who threatened me with a baseball bat. I reported this incident, yet management took no meaningful action to address the danger or protect residents. Tenants were allowed to harass and behave dangerously without consequence. I also experienced extremely unsafe and unprofessional maintenance practices. A maintenance technician improperly worked on my water heater, causing a dangerous emergency inside my unit. In addition, interactions with maintenance staff were inappropriate and made me feel unsafe during work orders. Communication was also a major issue, as maintenance staff were unable to effectively communicate in English while inside my home, making it difficult to explain problems or ensure repairs were done correctly. Beyond safety concerns, I encountered severe billing and record‑keeping issues. After living in the apartment for only about one month--with rent paid through housing assistance--I was later told I allegedly owed over $5,000, which did not align with my tenancy or payment history. After moving out, inaccurate information about my tenancy was reported to screening companies, which damaged my rental record and resulted in housing application denials. I am now forced to dispute this information formally. Based on my experience, this company disregards tenant rights, fails to address serious safety issues, and creates lasting harm to tenants even after move‑out. Anyone considering renting here should document everything carefully and be prepared to seek legal help. Customer Service Complaint…read more Today I visited your office to inquire about an available rental property. Unfortunately, the customer service I received from the receptionist, Dina, was very disappointing. From the moment I arrived, she was rude, dismissive, abrupt, and unprofessional. She did not make me feel welcome and showed very little interest in assisting me. At the end of our conversation, I respectfully told her that her attitude and the way she was treating customers were not appropriate for someone working in customer service. Her only response was, "Well, I'm sorry you feel that way," said in a dismissive and indifferent tone, without any genuine concern or attempt to address the situation. I believe the front desk staff represents the company, and every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. This experience left me with a very negative impression of your company. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to improve the quality of customer service for future customers.
