But while doing all of that I feel like the approach and the direction of where it's been going as far as the pastors and the lectures week in and out has completely lost its ways. It's pretty sad to see a church that once use to be so filled now nearly empty because of the new direction they have been heading in for the past 6/7 years. Pastor Jeri and Stan senior were truly amazing pastors and god bless them.

This place has been a cornerstone of my childhood and is now being one for my kids. I have my faith…read morebecause I felt safe here and my kids feel safe here and make friends outside of school that have the strong sense of belief as they do. This church does have its own school for grades K-8 and then right next door is Chaminade-Madonna for 9-12. I know that the school does have a strict dress code and you do have a tuition to pay but the kids I know that have gone to school there say it's great. My kids attend Sunday school there and their catechism teachers are so great with them. Of course to be safe they've all had to be cleared by background checks. My kids sometimes hate having to get up for it, but when they are done with their day there, they can't stop smiling.

Father Tom is the pastor he has a big following and the parishioners love him because he truly cares about them their families and the community. My son did his Eagle Project here 10 years ago. The City of Hollywood than adopted the project for Make a Difference Day. It was a huge undertaking with the entire community involved. What a memorable experience for my family as well as the church. One my son and I are very proud to have been a part of.

It happened to be the Spanish mass and I do not speak nor understand too much just enough to get the jist. I just needed to be around prayer. I sat in the back of the church and couldn't stop crying. It was the end of mass and people were just touching my shoulder and I knew they were giving condolences. It was very loving. See I was new to little flower coming from resurrection in Dania. They closed shortly months before. I than went to see father Tom and he stayed with me as long as I needed and comforted me and my daughter and gave us crosses that were carved from a tree in Jerusalem. It has been over two years since that day and I now have my son and daughter as alter servers and my daughter attends youth group. Which is after the 5:30 mass on Sundays. Which I wish was in the am. Father Rich and Deacon is in charge if the servers and youth group and Cherie is also a main counselor. They play lots of games, field trips, and do volunteer work. I love it for my kids. Father Rich is very beloved amongst the kids and parents. Father Pierre is fairly new but I have to say his masses are my favorite. The way he performs the blessed sacrament is very touching and really makes you think about the body and blood of Christ. First time I witnessed it I got goose bumps. I very much enjoy my church. By the end of service, I had become a new member. When signing up about things to do to be more involved with them, I was able to meet members of the church and speak with the Pastor. On top of that, the pastor often appears on stage wearing high-end designer clothing, and it seems like he's away traveling every other week. His biggest influence appears to be Joel Osteen -- and a lot of us know the controversies and concerns surrounding Osteen's ministry. All I'm saying is this: be careful, stay alert, and keep your faith centered on Jesus, not on trends, personalities, or theatrics.
