It has an old world feeling, with unbelievable woodwork, carvings, and religious imagery that I had never seen in Miami, all in one church. Everything went very smoothly and people were even crying from how wonderful the ceremony was. My sister (the bride) was very happy and so was her husband. I'm glad that everything went as planned. The ceremony was even a bit funny, thanks to Father David. He is a bit of a jokester and made the experience a great one. My favorite part of the ceremony was when my sister told the photographers to cut a part out where she mis-spoke and Father David said "What is this? Bloopers"? Everyone in the church was dying of laughter. I would highly recommend this church if you are getting married or even having a baptism. It is beautiful on the inside and outside of the church.

Today HIT me hard, and for some reason I turned up at this place RIGHT at the very time the doors were open for Christmas Eve Mass (it was not planned, but I believe in fate and sometimes, someone, somewhere, whoever it is, is giving me what I need at certain times). I felt so completely desolate and alone today. I stood outside with my mask on, with tears pouring down my face right outside the nativity scene and watched loads of people enter this beautiful church. A priest saw me and beckoned me in and I just smiled and declined. In that moment I was compelled to go inside, but I wanted to be 100 per cent safe. I also saw a rainbow today, and I feel my mum was walking with me today in my loneliness and sadness. Little did I know that the sign language interpreter was interpreting a "bilingue" (or bilingual) mass! Pretty neat, and there's a pretty good (but small) number of deaf people present for the mass. The interpreted mass starts at 11:30. To let you know, this church offers an english mass at 8 am, 3 spanish masses, and a bilingual mass (the one I went to). And also, this mass operates in a very latin american way. When it is time for a communion, everyone gets up practically at the same time as there is no usher or a person to let you know that it's your aisle's turn to get up and get the communion. However, the communion is still done in an organized way as the people from the aisle behind you would still wait for the people from the aisle in front to go. Talk about common sense running the show, instead of enforced rules. The outer walls were nearly completely covered by colored stained glass. That was neat. Plenty of parking was available.

The overall vibe felt like a Church By The Glades type feel and nothing wrong with that... but I come to church to hear the Word of God be preached at a level to sink the Love of God straight into my heart... Did I get that here? Yes, I did. Todays speaking preacher was great. She related her experiences to what we may be going through with life and she coordinated the scriptures great and I could feel my heart connect w/ God(only peeps who connected with God know about this feeling). Overall this church is Gangster for God, and it was a cool visit. But of course I had to eat after and bounce... because... I live in the 954 and stuff.

St. Michael is not my parish but my family and I were invited to attend the Divine Mercy Sunday…read moremass which is celebrated after Easter Sunday. The mass was hosted by the Servants (Sisters) of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary and it was wonderful and filled with love for God and for one another. The church itself is quite large and holds a good capacity of people which led for plenty of social distancing while we were there (one pew row yes - one pew row no). The church's altar has its religious images and you'll also see other images inside the church but the church itself is not very ornate. It's simplicity allows you to set your eyes on the altar and the priest celebrating the mass. During our visit, the priests celebrating the mass did it bilingually but that's because it was a special mass celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday and they had relics of St. Faustina and St. John Paul II. All the church ushers adhere to social distancing when they're guiding you to your seat. The church offers plenty of parking so that's also a bonus. But the biggest bonus is that the church also has an outside grotto honoring the Virgin of Fatima. This serene place allows you to meditate, gather your thoughts or pray the Rosary..it's absolutely wonderful and worth spending time in it..! My family had a wonderful experience at this church and we've considered visiting again to celebrate the regular mass.
