Oftentimes, my clients will instruct me to book a court reporter through an approved vendor. However, when given a choice I exclusively book through Jeffrey Mannis & Company. In fact, it was a Jeffrey Mannis court reporter that sat through my first ever deposition (I shudder at the memory). I have a tendency to show up at least 30 minutes early to my depositions and the Jeffrey Mannis court reporter always beats me to the location. The court reporters are always patient with me when I keep them waiting while I negotiate settlements or engage in lengthy talks (arguments) with opposing counsel. I've had a court reporter wait almost 3 hours only to have her dismissed without going on the record and she didn't even complain one bit. Patience is a virtue and Jeffrey Mannis court reporters are simply divine. The reporters are always courteous, professional and extremely friendly. When I was a new attorney, they gave me tips on difficult opposing counsel. Transcripts are always prepared within a reasonable time (30 days) and I never come across any errors when I proofread transcripts. The court reporter always takes notes regarding spelling and is able to deal with my relatively soft-spoken manner of speaking and capture every word. I've traveled far and wide for work (Bishop, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Victorville) and it always comforts me to see a Jeffrey Mannis court reporter show up for my depositions.

Do not get this attorney! I made a big mistake by signing on…read moreJuly 8, 2014 a "Nomination & Acceptance" to allow O'DEA be personal representative to administer the estate of my late-father. I was a client of O'DEA and now had to retain a different attorney as this litigation is still currently pending as of October 14, 2015, Case# BP 154317 in court at 111 n. hill street in L.A. i) There was approx. $40,000 cash in my dad's Bank account, and O'DEA recklessly depleted all that cash down to $0, thereby leaving no cash to distribute amongst the heirs named in the will. ii) O'DEA did not have an "estate sale" out of the Fully furnished family residential house located at 24603 Saint Denis Ct, Valencia CA 91355 which would've netted an additional $30,000 for the heirs, but instead O'DEA spent $1,400 for a dumpster to have everything in the house and garage to be thrown away, i.e., expensive furniture, Tools and equipment, refrigerator, washer/dryer, expensive Dining Table w/chairs and Hutch, etc. iii) O'DEA intentionally and in bad faith put the estate into a wreck by not allowing the currently vacant family residential house to be rented-out to pay down the monthly mortgage and to bring positive cash flow into the estate, so the house started going into foreclosure proceedings. Throughout the history of the House it's always been occupied and the monthly mortgage paid-down timely. But O'DEA kicked-out the tenants (e.g., a Civil Engineer) and has left the House vacant for over 3-years, recklessly allowing the House to go into foreclosure as O'DEA deliberately didn't made a mortgage payment(s) for around 2 years. My dad would definitely not want O'DEA to be making reckless decisions putting his entire estate into a financial ruin. My dad, worked too hard his entire Life, 81 years, to see his money go to waste like that. My dad's spirit-soul would be turning in the grave if he saw what O'DEA was doing with his money, wasting it and spending it recklessly. I'm sure my dad instead would've preferred to see his Family to use the money wisely towards having a brighter and more prosperous future, instead of seeing O'DEA waste the estate funds away. On September 1, 2015 I signed and mailed in to the Court a WITHDRAWAL OF O'DEA AS ADMINISTRATOR but that scandalous O'DEA wants to stay on the case.
