Sale price: $4,700. Alleged original price: $14,220. Underarms: sale price $1,414.80. Original price: $3,537.00. Bikini line: sale price $1,563.30. Original price: $3,908.25. My total cost - on sale - would be $7,678.10. Yeah, I'd rather shave, thanks! I don't know if they give sky high "original" prices to make their sale prices seem reasonable, but they aren't. I found another clinic that charges a quarter of the price, is closer to my house, and has better reviews! Their quote is shady too because it shows as 16 months unlimited* (the * noting it is in fact limited to 9 sessions, 5 standard treatments and 4 touch ups). Unlimited, it is not. If you've heard their ads that they guarantee the services for life...you actually have to pay $250 EXTRA for that "guarantee". Everything about Ideal Image sent up red flags. The only contact I had was with a salesman via phone who arbitrarily created a "bundle" of services to come up with a Number" to charge me with to suit the salesperson's goals! I'm not the type of person to leave a bad review but Ideal's customer service is horrible. I signed up for a membership and only after receiving a treatment one time, I decided to pay out the rest of my membership and never return. The worker that I built a good rapport with quit 2 days before my second appointment and it was nearly impossible to get scheduled for a second. I also saw no results or follow up from my first session so I decided not to go back. That was my decision, and my review is not based on these circumstances. On my initial zoom call with an Ideal team member, I was told he would take the auto renewal off my membership and my membership would expire after 1 year and I would not be charged any additional fees. 6 months after my last payment towards my membership I was charged a $317 yearly membership fee, which renewed my membership for another year. I reached back out to the original team member I spoke with via the email he provided only to learn he is no longer with the company. I called the 800 number and was connected with a "manager" who said he would cancel my membership (that I was originally told would not renew) but he could not refund the yearly membership fee. I asked if there was any other person or department I could express my feedback too and he told me multiple times that he would escalate my concerns. After asking who this would be escalated to, he told me that he was management and would not escalate further than leaving notes on my account. He displayed no sympathy or understanding when it came to my issue and gave me misleading information. Long story short, there are small businesses out there that provide much better services, availability, and customer service/satisfaction for a more affordable price. And I know for a fact that it didn't work because they never even shared the before and after pictures with me. Reached out about the pics & got nothing. I mean it makes sense right? Worst Service EVER! I started a membership for laser hair removal at Ideal Image and was only able to receive 2 treatments, when I went for 3rd treatment, the place was closed. No one called me to notify me of them canceling my appointment or their new hours. When I tried to rescheduled they did not have any appointments available for 2 months! I am very surprised by the reviews left saying that they felt pressured and lied to. I have been a client at Ideal Image of West Hartford for 10 years. I even remember when they were at their old location closer to Blue Back Square. We finished my treatments a decade ago and paid them off early without the finance fee that has been mentioned multiple times. I remember going in for my consult and was thoroughly impressed with all the information they had given me. 9 sessions, $40 flat fee for additional sessions, expect it to feel like a hot spark or a cat scratch with each treatment becoming more painful. The staff at Ideal Image work quickly. I will say that I remember the days of being offered and handed a beverage rather than just being on the counter, but that's a little qualm of mine. Anyway, I had a baby two years ago and my hormones were out of whack. I noticed about a year ago that my hair was growing back and at an unpleasant rate/darkness. I scheduled an appointment about a week ago and was able to get in for earlier appointments but the appointment time I chose worked for me. Now it's the wait to see how this session went and if I need to book a follow up in 8 weeks. After about a week the hair begins to shed, but may grow in thicker. I purchased a hair removal package from Ideal Image in West Hartford, CT for my full (upper and lower) legs, linea alba, feet, bikini line and armpits. I have already had all of the 9 treatments and paid over $12,000 for their services. The results have been very disappointing. I have had considerable hair growth in all of the areas that were treated. The manager looked at my results and gave me three more treatments for my lower legs and linea alba only. I feel this is very unfair. I had to pay roughly $50 for another treatment to my armpits through their "lifetime membership" program. I got a CoolSculpting treatment done back in June at Ideal Image in West Hartford. They recommend that the results will fully show in ~12 weeks and said they'd call closer to then to schedule a follow up appointment where they would take 'after' pictures to compare to the 'before' pictures that were taken so we could see how the treatment worked. Fast forward to October, and I had heard absolutely nothing from them. So, I called and scheduled my own follow up appointment. During this time, the woman I met with took 'after' pictures and we looked at them in comparison to my 'before' pictures. She agreed with me (this was my whole concern and why I was so insistent about going in for a follow up appointment) that the results shown did not warrant the ridiculous amount of money that I am now stuck paying over the next 18 months. I, personally, felt that I had gained weight if anything since receiving the treatment, even though there were no negative changes to my diet or exercise routine between the time i received the treatment and the time of the follow up appointment. She said she would have the office manager give me a call and two things would happen. Either 1) We would talk about me getting some sort of refund or 2) They would do a retreat free of charge. This was on a Saturday afternoon (October 20th, 2018), and she said I would hear from the office manager by Monday or Tuesday. It is now December 4th, and I have not been able to have a real conversation with anyone that works at Ideal Image about next steps. I have called countless times and always receive the same response: "I will have the office manager or your consultant give you a call later this afternoon" and still, I have heard NOTHING. This is one of the most expensive places that you can find for hair removal packages, compared to local spas or Groupons. However - 1000% worth it. They are expensive for a reason. Everyone who has done my treatments is extremely knowledgeable, not only about the services they are providing, but about the medical intricacies. I ask a LOT of questions and there has never been one they can't answer. All of the staff is extremely well-trained and professional, from the consultants, to the front desk staff, and to the treatment professionals. I haven't come across a person who didn't know what they were doing. The upside of their expensive laser hair removal is that it comes with a lifetime guarantee. If you ever need a touch-up, you can go to any ideal image location all over the country and for a small pre-determined fee, you can get the entire area redone. Definitely don't pay full price - go during one of their sales; they always have some promotion going on. DO NOT get laser hair treatments here. I chose Ideal Image because they were supposed to have cutting edge technology. It is absolutely not worth the money you can get the same results for 60 dollars a treatment at a salon. I still have hair growing in both locations (underarms and Brazilian) after 9 treatments. Besides the actual treatments when I originally started treatments they did not tell me about the deferred interest loan. They told me I had a 0% interest charge. After 24 months I got wacked with 29% interest on the original balance. The only documentation I had that this was going to happen was on page 3 of my contract in fine print. The women who did my financing never bothers to mention it. When I called customer support to try and pay the entire balance I spoke with 4 people until someone agreed to help. He told me there was nothing he could do, put me on hold for 15 minutes, and then came back saying he could lower it but not take it away. It is absolutely ridiculous that they are so unwilling to help when it was their professionals that omitted the information in the first place. I would never recommend them to a sole. read more

I am a Lifetime member after having laser hair removal performed a few years ago. I had some regrowth, so went back on February 5th 2019 for an evaluation and was supposed to hear back from the manager for possible re-treating and cost. She never called, but a sales rep (I think Jessica?) finally did to extend some offers to me that we had been chatting about. I told her I had never heard from the manager, and she said she would have her call me. (This rep is PHENOMENAL by the way, consistent follow up, not pushy, very friendly) This was last week. Finally Wednesday of this week, the manager called me back, but I was unable to talk wit her. I called her back again, left a message but STILL have not heard back. It is now April 11th. They were able to get me an appointment very soon after my call, which was super important, as I needed them done before a business trip. Went to Ideal Image in West Hartford with the comfort knowing that they are 'medical professionals' for lip fillers and under the chin cool sculpting. To make my appointments they got me in ASAP! Three days apart from each other, my lips were first on a Friday and the numbing process and pain level were tolerable...the problem started when i showed her how my lip is slightly lower on one side so she can avoid that area since i was already aware i didn't like it. She proceeded to fill the underside of my upper lip RIGHT where i asked her to avoid and also she said they avoid the mid line. I saw right away how uneven and bulbish they looked and it completely changed my smile. I was told I was "too hard on myself" and to wait 2 weeks for them to settle in. I saw her three days later for my cool sculpting, now VERY upset with how i look..but was still told to wait the two weeks and if i wanted them dissolved we'd do it then. Well after the two weeks i called to make an appt to get the top lip dissolved and they couldn't get me in for 3 weeks, because they NEED an hour for the procedure (funny they could get me in for both procedures within three days). The receptionist wasn't very helpful, couldn't put me on a call list if there were any cancellations because i work close but she said no because its first come first serve??? said she would talk to a provider to she if they would move stuff around for me but never heard back, i tried to call on my cell 3 times over an hour and i would get a voicemail, I even left a voicemail!! (i think they have caller id because she didn't even ask my name to make the first appt)...tried calling from my work phone and they answered first ring...SO because I'm so upset with how i look and have already waited two weeks i couldn't wait another 3 weeks to fix my jacked up lips and smile, I had to call and pay 100$ at another medical spa to get them dissolved that day! About 2 years ago I started my treatments with Ideal Image for underarms and brazilian. They had a special discount available at the time so I took advantage (of course it was still quite pricey). After about 3 treatments I was able to see the difference. My hair was still growing back, but much thinner. Unfortunately, after 9 treatments, my underarms are still growing back, but my brazilian area is great. For me, I used to have a lot of razor bumps from shaving and waxing so the laser treatment got rid of all of that. My advice to you is to READ THE FINE PRINT of your contract. When you sign up for payment plans for the treatment you are essentially opening a credit card through Comenity. They do a hard credit check. You can make interest-free payments for 2 years. It was partly my fault, since I didn't pay attention to the exact date of when my 2 years was up. I had a few hundred dollars left on my balance on my last month and on the following statement I was whacked with a $1200 finance charge. I was extremely upset over this unexpected charge. Apparently, after two years, you are charged interest on the entire cost of the treatment, not just on your leftover balance, which I was not made aware of. I called the main customer service line and spoke to two customer service representatives who were completely rude and not understanding of the situation. It seems like the only department that can actually handle these types of issues is the main headquarters in Florida: 813-286-8100. I was connected with an extremely helpful and understanding representative named Elena. She took my case and my request to get the finance charge refunded. I paid the remaining balance of my account immediately. 2 days later Comenity refunded my $1200 finance charge. After paying so much for treatments I didn't think it was fair to be whacked with another $1200 fine and since my treatments were not 100% effective, I was definitely not going to pay a penny more than what was agreed upon. If I would do this again I would probably only get the brazilian treatment done. The treatments are very expensive and painful and the contract is confusing. Also, it is important to note that each treatment gets more painful as they use higher powered lasers each time. This was another detail that was not mentioned to me until my 3rd treatment, when I commented to my technician that the lasers felt much more painful than my previous treatments. They do offer a prescription for numbing cream, which I opted out of, but if you're not good with pain, I would recommend it. read more

During the call I asked them after the consult if I agreed to the price would they do procedure they said yes. They texted and called me to for mind me of my happointment. I made sure that I was not late for my appointment as I had a 45 min drive. My appointment was scheduled at 10.30 I got there at 9.45am The receiptionist asked me if I wanted a drink, gave me the WiFi passcode. Which was pleasant. NThe only thing I didn't like was she used the word ""Dear" constantly. I knew I was early so I waited patiently. At 10.55am the receptionist tells me I have to wait another 15 min that would make my wait 45 minutes and if I decided to do work another good hour. I told her I could understand if they were running 15 min late but 45 minutes was not acceptable. I left because I find it very unprofessional and that they have two staff people working yet they scheduled my appointment. I wasted almost 4 hours and no consult or procedure. I can see now why there is a 3.5 rating. For a company that's all over I highly recommend you hire staff or you look how to do better business. While I have no complaints about the effectiveness of the service I purchased - although there are three or four months to go before I see the 'full effect' - the experience was poorly and inaccurately described during my consultation. I chose Ultherapy / full face & neck. I was informed I would feel warmth, and a mild prickly sensation in the treatment area. My skin would be 'red' but that would go away pretty quickly. Before the treatment my face and neck were bathed in the strongest Lidocaine creme available on the market, and allowed to do its thing for 30 minutes. I have had cortisone shots in my hands, wrist, foot and shoulder, so I figure that's a good benchmark for pain threshold. Those shots were bearable - breathe through them - but only uncomfortable, unpleasant at the moment. I lay as still as possible, using deep, meditative breathing during the treatment - nearly FOUR hours of it. And I'm not done...there's about 45 minutes to go. The technician mentioned at least twice, how impressed she was with how still I could be for so long - that she's had clients who twitched & cried & quit through the treatment. Let me paint you a picture of the sensation you will experience should you undergo the procedure. Imagine if you will, having every centimeter of your face and neck stung by a jellyfish, repeatedly for two or more hours. Never been stung by a jellyfish? Imagine having your face tasered, repeatedly for hours - although I would hope to God a taser hurts a lot more. While I am beginning to see positive effects of the treatment, and I will finish that 45 minutes...my cheekbones and jawline were bruised; difficult to cover even with corrective concealers when the bruises were fresh. It was at least three weeks before they were entirely gone. I experienced impaired sensation on my neck and under-chin...numbness, tingling and extreme sensitivity to touch, as much as eight weeks post treatment. As I said, I won't remark upon the full-effectiveness of the treatment until I see it. But I would never pay $3,300 again to go through it. read more

the process moved rapidly from discussing and signing paperwork to going into a room for a first treatment. WOWZER. the session was minutes along. the first treatment was not for the faint-hearted. I had three zones in the face done and they are the most sensitive areas I'd say on your body. so they moved quickly. I had no reaction to the laser. they were prompt for the appointment and professional and friendly. getting laser hair removal changed my life. I was previously plucking and neurotically checking my face by the hour. I had scars from the tweezers and ingrown hairs. it seriously changed the facial growth after the very first treatment and now that I'm about a year into it - there is no hair growing in those three areas at all. Highly disappointed in the staff the first person broke down the whole cool sculpting which was fine , then when the treatment was taken place I was miss lead and lost 2 cycle , supposedly was a combine one and I never agreed if I knew I would miss out, I never got a follow call regarding my issue and no one was attentive . over price under managed my results a slightly different but wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went there for a consultation and sample of treatment that I was offered since they won't give out prices over the phone. I was greeted by a rude sales lady who seemed to be reading a scripted and wanted me to fill out a contract for services before I would be given any pricing. Then wanted me to pay before even discussing the laser hair removal. After insisting for a sample treatment I was promised I waited in the reception area where I could hear the staff talk about me. On the up side the nurse who did my treatment was very good and explained everything. I don't know if that's enough to return to this place. read more
