HORRIBLE. I paid the excessive fees to come to this place and it didn't even work...in fact, my hair grows faster now. I told them this, along with the fact that I had graduated and wouldn't be able to come for a 7th treatment, and they said "oh well, there's nothing we can do." Worse, during your consultation, they will almost force you to sign up right away, then have you sign a form that says you were not forced to sign up. That should have been a red flag to me from the get-go, but unfortunately I was seventeen and they promised me a hairless face (which I need, having dark hair). Anyway, three years later, here I am having to thread again, and wasn't even able to get some money back from this terrible establishment. They are into taking your money, not holding up their end of the bargain. Also - I had left a review earlier in my experience, but that's because Mimoza and the woman at the counter pushed me to leave one saying how great it was. Don't waste your money. Plus, the procedures are really painful. And if they don't work, like me, you had a painful experience, the Nurse, Courtney, didn't have helpful advice on what to do for the post-treatment breakouts (so after each treatment, I had a face full of breakouts), and still have facial hair. I prepaid for 5 vascular face treatments. the first one was noticeable. The second one (delayed because of Covid19) was not noticeable. I went for a third one one month later in May and the tech refused to do the treatment because I had "pregnancy mask" 44 years ago. She said I would be reimbursed. I went to Ideal Image in Towson on 3/29/2018 for a cool sculpting consultation with Lindsay, Lead Sales Consultant. Lindsay had another employee come in to "evaluate" me to ensure I was a good candidate. I was informed that I was an "ideal" candidate because I was close to my target weight had enough fat in the areas I wanted treated. I was initially quoted a higher price than what I ended up paying and was very hesitant to spend that much money on something that may not even work. Lindsay assured me that I was an ideal candidate, that they always see success with the treatments (she said she never saw anyone not have results), and that if I DID end up not having results, that they would work with me to either refund my money or at the very least, allow me to get other services (laser hair removal, etc.) in place of the money I paid for cool sculpting. Lindsay and I discussed this for quite some time, with her reassuring me multiple times that this was a "safe" investment, since I could either get my money back or use it towards other services if I preferred, and that she had never seen it "not work" for someone. She also lowered the price of my treatments. At the end of our meeting, I felt confident that I was getting a good deal and that I could get my money back if it didn't work out. She actually told me, "Don't worry. You're MY client. I will take care of you if you're not happy." I was excited to get started and paid my balance of $2,268.00 that day. That amount covered two treatments of both my abdomen and flanks. I was told that while some people need more treatments, that I should have results with only 1 to 2 because I was already so close to my target weight. I was also told that I likely wouldn't see any results for 60-90 days, but sometimes it can take up to four months. My first session was 4/02/2018. I did the treatment on my flanks, with no issues. Afterwards, I began the abdomen treatment. I was unable to lay flat, as she told me the machine couldn't grab onto my fat that way, since I didn't have much fat to begin with, and when I laid down, my stomach was pretty flat. She told me I had mostly skin in that area, not fat. She had a lot of trouble getting the attachment to stick to me and it ended up coming off several minutes into the procedure, MULTIPLE times. Eventually I had to hold the thing in place myself while it was propped up on pillows. I experienced the same issue with my other side. My second session was on 6/01/2018. I got halfway through the treatment on my flanks TWO different times and the machine stopped both times, because of a "temperature issue" which I was told was due to my tattoos (even though I had no issues the first time). So we moved to my abdomen and once again, there were a lot of issues with it staying in place. She even had to have someone else come in the room to assist. At this point, I already knew I had to hold them in place, so that's what I did (along with the assistance of a few pillows). She informed me that she wasn't sure why they told me I could get treated in the areas I had treated, because I didn't have enough fat there to begin with. She told me it was mostly skin, just as the other woman had said. I was starting to suspect something was awry. On 7/30/2018, I called Ideal Image to report that I was unsatisfied with my results. I was told that it hadn't been a full 90 days since my last session, so I had to wait to make any kind of claim until those 90 days had passed. My follow-up appointment was scheduled in September, and she told me I could discuss it with them then. I returned for my f/up and told them I was unhappy. They took pictures and agreed there wasn't any change. They told me they'd have someone from management call me. I waited almost a month without hearing anything before calling them. Got the run-around several times until finally getting a call from Lauren, a manager. Told her I wanted my money back, as promised by Lindsay. She said that they normally do not do full refunds, and that Lindsay had actually been FIRED for making such promises to other people. She told me that I was not the first person to tell her this, and that several other people had been promised the same thing by Lindsay. She said she would look into my issue and call me back the next day. I heard nothing for a week. I called several times, again getting the run-around. Finally spoke to Lauren again, who told me there was "nothing they could do." There is so much more to this story, but unfortunately, I only have so much space to write before it cuts off. So I will end by saying it's been 9 months since my treatment and there has still been no change. I filed a complaint with the BBB & Ideal Image responded with "call us to discuss." I called, AGAIN, & was told someone would call me. They never did (surprise!). BBB closed my complaint because they got no further response from Ideal Image. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! February of 2020 I purchased 5 BBL Treatments and Ultherapy for $3647.00. The Ultherapy was completed and 1 BBL treatment scheduled in February of 2020. The first BBL appointment the machine broke and it had to be rescheduled. COVID delayed future appointments but in late summer, fall 2020 all 5 BBL appointments were scheduled. It took months two complete 2 BBL appointments. The third appointment scheduled in January 2021, had to be reschedule because a staff member left. At the time of rescheduling the Jan appointment to April, I was told my February and March appointments remained the same. However, when I arrived for the February, 8:00 am, Saturday appointment I was informed I was not on the schedule. I asked when was I on the schedule and was told they could not discuss because they had to check in the other clients who arrived for appointments. I was told I would be called that day to reschedule. No call was received Saturday, Monday or Tuesday. I called them today, Wednesday and spoke to an individual who said my original Saturday appointment was rescheduled to a Sunday but they are not opened on Sunday's. I asked for a call from a manager to express my concerns and was informed they are opening another location in Bethesda and the regional manager, Jennifer, is busy and I may not get a return call. It's nice to know how valued my business is - they reschedule appts to closed days, dismiss my questions and do not return calls. Beware, due to the contract, after you pay there are not any repercussions for the lack of service. Wish I would have read reviews first. Don't waste your money with Ideal Image - I suggest finding a facility which will value your business. read more

Told me I was getting an interest-free payment plan, instead ran my credit and opened a credit account with Green Sky Credit who charged me interest, claiming they would credit the interest at the end of the term. They sent me a check for the interest after i paid, AND IT BOUNCED! I have since been waiting for Green Sky customer service to solve this for over a month and a half. Green Sky says it is their Ideal Image account manager who is "solving" this. I am furious, waste of my time. The treatment i got at Ideal Image was fine, but is the deceptive sales practice of "iinterest--free payment plan" which was not acceptable, as well as the lack of proper customer service resolution from Green Sky, the company they set me up with. read more

My experience with the Ideal image certainly was was not Ideal. I did not inform about the details of the procedures when I immediately objected at the beginning they promised to compensate later. Incredibly unprofessional! They booked me and had me pay for a service then was told I had to cancel and wait a week for a possible refund. I went in for a consultation on receiving fillers. All went well and I scheduled an appointment and paid. About a week later I received a call telling me that I was not a candidate for fillers even after I had spoken with a nurse about the service and paid for my appointment. I would not be bothered if I was told of this before making my payment. I'm incredibly frustrated because I will also not get my refund for another week. The price point is crazy. Even at a promotional rate, I'm paying over $3300 to have my face and neck treated. I appreciate that all the practitioners have advanced nursing degrees and they're very patient with you in session. But after 6 months of treatments (4 sessions)I'm not seeing results that make it feel worth all the money I'm spending and pain I'm enduring. I feel like they've over sold and under delivered. I am a woman and unfortunately, like many women, suffer from facial hair. I have read every pros and cons of electrolysis and laser removal for the past 2 years and finally decided in February 2013 to go with laser (btw I'm AA, mid 20's, different laser type). I am a brand person and I didn't have money upfront to pay for treatments so I decided to give Ideal a try after hearing many many radio ads. First the selling. Of course they want to sell you packages, they have to make money. The woman was knowledgeable, went over the lasers with me, the side effects, the expected time frame for less hair, etc. I came in with a list of questions, from sensitivity, to pain, to $$$, almost everything and they were answered adequately. I even had my father with me in case I forgot something (always a good idea to bring someone trustworthy with you for ANY cosmetic procedure). I set a monthly budget for myself BEFORE going in and my cost was under that monthly budget. I've read other reviews about the cost and how they say it's one cost but it will be 50% off since you came in today. No, that's not true. You can always go in for the consult and if you change your mind, wait for another "radio" promotion. The main reason why I decided to go ahead with Ideal was for the financing and the fact that I only have one face so why not go to a place that thousands have gone to and that has been around for years. Now the treatment...First its very ridiculous to want a test zap before treatment. Just know, the laser pulse stings, and the bigger the treatment area, the more zaps you'll get, therefore more pain. On a scale of 1 to 10, for me its a 5. The zap pain last for 20 seconds and since I am only getting my chin and neck treated, the whole session is under 5 minutes. You walk in treatment room (very clean), they check to make sure you shave (please shave!) and they cover your eyes. I've had two great sessions and both techs talked the whole time, every time they were about to zap me. In the end, the tech applies aloe and made friendly chat. You make the next appointment 10 weeks out and wait for the results. My sensitivity last about 30- 45 minutes after treatment. The next day, I cant even remember the pain. It is a long and pricey process but the results are worth it. Always do your research (we do live a Google age) and make the decision based on your pain tolerance and wallet. Personally, if you can get a Brazilian wax or threading, you can make it. Since I paid via financing, I pay as I would any bill monthly. I have not had any customer service issues with Ideal Towson. read more

I've been to Ideal Image in Towson a few timed for Botox and Juvederm. The results are perfectly fine, and what I would expect. But literally EVERY TIME I go, I wait in the lobby for 30-45 minutes. Why make my appointment at 10am when I'm not seen until 1045? Not only that, but that's my wait to get in the back, waiting for the nurse takes even longer. Every time I go, I should expect to be there for a minimum of 1.5 hours. That's ridiculous for a few units of Botox. I definitely won't be going back. Update: the regional director of Ideal Image called me shortly after posting my review. She was very apologetic and explained the situation. In addition, she has offered me my next botox treatment free of charge to amend the situation. I am impressed with the quick reply I receive from the company. I will update my review again after my next visit! Unfortunately on my most recent visit the SAME thing happened. I guess this place is understaffed, so how about scheduling appointments accordingly instead of make people wait an hour. Ridiculous. read more

I paid in full for services in 2018/2019 which cost me thousands of dollars. I began treatment and everything was fine, then I became pregnant in late 2019. I called the Towson office and was told by the office staff that my pregnancy would not affect my contract, and that as soon as I was able to resume treatment, I could give them a call. Then COVID hit and the pandemic closed the office. Once it was safe to resume coming in for treatment, I called to schedule and the Towson office was fully booked for MONTHS. I told the scheduling team that I was concerned about not being seen in so long and asked about my contract, and was once again ASSURED that this would not affect it, and when they could fit me in, I would resume treatment. I was finally able to come back in but when I went to schedule my next appointment, they were fully booked and put me on a waitlist. I never received a phone call for two months. I called and was able to grab a cancelation, and after my treatment I was told I had a copay due. I was confused as to why I was paying for treatment when I paid in full already. I was told my contract was expired. I asked for someone to contact me to discuss this since I was ASSURED my pregnancy, COVID closure, and the lack of openings at this office would not affect my contract and I received an email (not the phone call I asked for) two days later that only stated "You are not eligible for any additional treatments and/or extension of time to be granted." No further explanation was given. No one could be bothered to reach out to me. And when I called and asked to speak to someone, I was told Marin (who apparently is in charge at Towson and has final say "per Brianna P") would contact me, but that she had final say. Then I was hung up on. I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect and lack of common courtesy in my life. After paying in full for services, I'm not able to resume treatment unless I give IDEAL IMAGE more money, and I still need treatment done. Their "Lifetime Guarantee" is also a joke. You have to PAY to continue coming in for services if you still need treatment done. That isn't a lifetime guarantee. That's essentially a new contract. I will never return to IDEAL IMAGE again. It was an hour long session pressuring you in to buy a package that they did not even assess if you needed or not. I love this location. I actually switched from the Arundel Mills location because of constant scheduling issues and never having the equipment for my skin type available. But the Towson location is the complete opposite! I've never had any delays with my appointments starting on time. The receptionists at the front are always super nice. I like Anne the most for my treatments but she works part time so I usually book with whoever is available. I get full leg and full bikini touch ups and now I recently started treatment on my underarms. Next will be my back. My sessions are quick (I also have a high tolerance for pain so I can easily sit through it without many breaks). I commute from VA so for a 1hr 15min commute one way , I'd say it's definitely worth it!!! I can't wait for them to fully reopen so I can continue. Not sure of others experiences but I am happy. And Bonus: I also make a day trip of it by going next door for a good sandwich and shopping at TJ Maxx and Target around the corner! read more

I think everyone should be made aware of your cancellation policy during consults. This way we can make informed decisions. I called to cancel and now I have to visit a doctor to do so. There wasn't a requirement to bring my doctor's pre-approval to sign up. And honestly, I was really just slowing down to weigh my options, I'm sure I would've come back for another service, if not the initial one. But at this point, I don't think Ideal Image is the company I want to do business with and for that reason I will not recommend anyone! read more

From 6/2/14: I can't speak for all locations but I would not go back to this one again. I originally came here for laser hair removal on my chin b/c there were tiny hairs there. And had originally planned to get my underarms done. After a few treatments I saw no more hair at all and wanted to discontinue the treatment b/c it was causing my chin to break out. I spoke to the technician twice about it and was basically brushed off. Finally I decided to speak to the consultant/manager. I never got a call back. After more calls I was told she had left and a regional manager would call me back. He proceeded to tell me I didn't have proof of the breakouts and I would have to continue making payments for treatments I refused to continue to recieve. He eventually agreed to apply my remaining payments to another service. However, $264 compared to the thousands they'll charge me for underarms hardly seems worth it. Furthermore after the unprofessional and sometimes rude behavior of some (not all) of its staff I unfortunately have to chalk this up to a painfully expensive lesson learned. Before selecting Ideal Image for hair removal for my daughter I met with a dermotologist's office as well as 2 plastic surgeons who also offer hair removal. I selected Ideal Image for various reasons and I am so happy with my decision. Their customer service is second to none. The facility is beautiful and very clean. I am a recent customer for this particular branch of Ideal Image for laser hair removal, and I regret having gone. I thankfully don't have any horror stories about being scared or burned. However I do believe I greatly overpaid for the service provided. They definitely do drop a pretty penny for the repeated advertisements especially over the radio, getting every popular DJ for the popular shows to market their "promotional discounts", "professional" staff and "laser for all skin tones". But the reality is that you WILL be over charged and most likely have to pay an expensive copay for extra treatments while you're still paying off the financed original treatment package. The problem is their miscommunication and lack of communication with you, the costumer. Each time I went for a treatment a different technician performed the treatment, each of them saying different things about the lack of progress or the areas missed by the previous technician who I saw the month before. All conflicting with the initial consultation you have with a sales representative who can but a car salesman to shame. I'm not cheap and had no problem paying for a service, but I do have a problem paying for a service poorly provided to assure more treatments. Take it from me, avoid Ideal Image. Shop around for other specialized laser hair removal facilities, you can definitely find much better prices for the same service with the same type of lasers. And hopefully with them you actually get what you paid for. read more

The only thing that they are good for, is selling you the procedure. But they never explain you how painful and torture is the laser procedure. They don't even give you a try before they charge you to see if you can tolerate the pain. Apparently they enjoy looking at you screaming, moving of pain and just offer you to buy a numbing cream, that even after all the money that you spend there ($7,250 in my case), they don't have the courtesy of applying it on you for free. When that procedure started I was in a lot of pain (scale level 10), the nurse insisted on finishing the back of my neck and I was doing the impossible trying to tolerate that real bad pain. IT WAS A TORTURE, they charge me to treat me like a thing or a slave torturing me, not a human. Appointments for treatment?, they don't even have one available to tray again with the cream during the next 20 days. So you pay to get tortured and to feel nauseous during the treatment, and dizzy after it, to buy a numbing cream, and to be in a long waiting for a next treatment. These things should not happen when you just paid $7,250 for a treatment. I want to leave this here for the record, because I make them responsible of anything that happens to myself now and in the future. Is not funny to get torture, to feel nauseous and dizzy. I didn't pay for that and they never at Ideal Image told me how painful it was and didn't even let me to have a trial before to see if I can tolerate that. This is on the record now, and if the torture continues next time during my next appointment for treatment, even with the cream, I will sue Ideal Image for medical malpractice. This review is more so geared toward my very recent experience I had with ideal Image costumer service representative. I didn't get a chance to get to the location. I was offer a scheduled time to come in for a Free consultation when I replied back she told me that the slot had already been filled. I was very furious because I was seconds away from the ideal image center. I quickly called customer service and of course I couldn't get a hold of the representative I was emailing back-and-forth so I spoke to another customer service representative who told me that "they get a lot of calls each day and it is very hard for them to hold a spot because sometimes people don't check their emails for two days" and I proceeded to say that there should be a standard procedure where if you offer a customer a slot they should have up to what ever amount of minutes you choose in order to respond to the message. I did not have enough time to respond to the message before my slot was taken away from me. I am highly disappointed and very upset with the way that they handle scheduling an appointment, not to mention me driving all the way there just to have them tell me that they don't have any openings for the night,sorry. I also asked to speak to the center that I would have been seen at and they told me that in order to book an appointment I have to go through the call center. I am very unhappy with the way things were handled and I will not ever recommend this company to anyone read more

From Kaitlin's diligence to get me scheduled in an alternate location for a family emergency 5 hours away to Lindsay's professionalism and truly caring demeanor every time I saw her, I was honestly a bit sad leaving my final session! Lindsay made me feel comfortable during my treatments and I am very happy with my results. This place is a joke. They claim to have healthcare professional or are healthcare professionals, I think not. I haveworked in the healthcare field for many years, taking a few classes does not make someone a healthcare professional. From the girl at the front desk, to the girl that busted down the door to come in to measure me with no introduction, I would not send my dog here. All they are interested in on sales. This was my second place I went to see how much Cool Sculpting cost. Guess what, the doctor I went to cost just as much as Ideal Image.
