I went there for a few months and at the end of that time, I was worse off than when I started. They put on 2 crowns that fell off repeatedly. They maxed out my insurance, so I am now going to another dentist and having to pay out of pocket for their mistakes. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist office. Last Monday, April 6, 2026, I went in for a cleaning, and it was a very unpleasant experience. I was denied a cleaning by this black dentist because she claimed they would not perform the cleaning until a deep cleaning was done and a year old filling from my previous dentist was removed. I strongly advise avoiding this office. They seem more focused on money and unnecessary procedures than patient care. When my cleaning was denied, I walked out. The receptionist's behavior was extremely unprofessional. she was rude and agitator . When I asked for the HR department to file a complaint, she became agitated, rude, and refused to provide any names or phone numbers, claiming she did not have that information. She even slapped my hand and threatened to call the police if I did not leave the premises. Had a unpleasant experience here today. Scheduled a appointment on Wednesday for this Friday for extreme dental pain. I Gave all my information over the phone.By mistake gave them wrong insurance info. Oops. Thursday don't hear anything from them. Friday I get a missed call at 11:01am two hours before my appointment and voicemail saying I put the wrong info. I'm nonstop at work. I recheck the google invite they sent me Wednesday, it says I need to fill out more information. I scrambled to submit everything. Had no idea I needed to complete it , as the font for click here is small to see on the phone screen, you have to zoom in to see the hyperlinks. When I got to the office today the receptionist starts verifying everything and then says my appointment was canceled due to no information being provided by me. Really? There was a opportunity to call me the day before to remind I needed to submit more information. The receptionist started gaslighting me and saying it was told to me on the phone and they needed to verify it before any treatment. Weird , the random CRM email they sent me at 10:02 am today says you don't even need insurance to be a patient with them, that could of been a option for me. The receptionist kept saying she was going to "help me" and check to see how longer the doctor would be. I emphasized on the phone I only had a hour and half . I had to special arrange this with my job to leave. I was hoping to establish dental care here but I decided to walk out . The energy from the receptionist was an clear example of how I would be treated if I became a patient here. I've had amazing dental offices in the past but going here would have been a nightmare. I read the bad reviews before but they're were in -network and close to where we will live , so I gave them the benefit of the doubt . I wasn't going to share my experience from today, but after reading reviews of my exact situation, it's the least I can do. I was a new patient and needed a regular cleaning (covered by my insurance). After x rays and a ton of mouth scans, they told me I would need a deep cleaning. It was strange to hear as I have no dental issues (bleeding gums, soreness, etc.). I have straight white teeth in great shape according to them, but I was open to the expert opinion. I didn't realize they were not going to clean my teeth at all for this appointment I waited a month for unless I paid the $600+ out of pocket costs today.....to have my teeth cleaned. It feels scammy and an insurance grab. Dr. Tran was kind to call me after to ask if I had any concerns from my appointment. I explained that the verbiage around my needed work was not clear and it felt like a money-grab. She told me it would be illegal for her to clean my teeth once they diagnosed me with needing a deep cleaning. Had that been explained at the office, I may have been more understanding. On top of this, tomorrow is my birthday and my friends had an early birthday happy-hour scheduled this evening after my appointment (1PM appoint. and a 4:30PM happy-hour). I told the team about it, but explained I will reschedule the happy-hour if I needed to sit in their chair for longer than expected. They were behind on patients and I sat around in their chair forever by myself. After realizing they were not going to clean my teeth unless I paid the $600 estimated bill, I told them I would be leaving. When I was leaving, the front desk clerk told me repeatedly I'm leaving with no cleaning being done because I had no time. Very insulting. I tried calling the complaint number a review response added in another review, but it's just to the call center to book an appointment. BEWARE! Do NOT come here no matter how desperate!! LISA TRAN told me I needed a crown put on. I went ahead and let her do this. In the process of drilling down my tooth to put the temporary crown on she DRILLED INTO MY NERVE. This caused me to need a root canal. Went months with horrible and painful sensitivity. Costs me a lot of time and money. Left ideal dental traumatized and sobbing, thought the pain was normal but obviously was not. Now I'm terrified of the dentist. Of the hour that i was there, 15 minutes was the cleaning. Done by two people, both of which seemed only halfway confident in their skills. The other 45 minutes was waiting around with no communication, taking pictures and unnecessary xrays that they try to charge you extra for, and then them trying to charge you extra for a "treatment plan" for perfectly healthy teeth. For my first visit, the staff was prompt and took me right away. They did an overall exam and let me know what they found. They explained everything as options, vs what they were going to do. I let them know that I needed to back at work by a certain time and they met the deadline. What was incredible, is even though they were on a time crunch, it never felt like for a second that they were rushing. On today's visit, they had to do more aggressive work. Again, they explained what they were doing and how it was going to help. The dentist, herself, warm, honest and considerate. Bonus that she has small hands, so there wasn't too much discomfort. I then went to a privately owned dentist 2 months later and they said they couldn't see any sign of cavity fillings or cavities at all. My mom needed a procedure and she was given a different price apparently wrong from a stuff member, and the day before and of the procedure, she was told it was $300 dollars more, because they increased the prices. On top of that, we had to pay $50 dollars to cancel the appointment because we didn't agree with the situation. This place needs better policies and HELPFUL stuff members. My appointment wat at 1:00 and I wasn't seen by the doctor until 2:45. I came for a basic cleaning for zero out-of-pocket expense by my insurance as I get two a year. Similar to a gym membership, I was given a quote by a young front-desk employee for $700 after seeing a doctor. What a racket! I literally picked up my things and left because I felt so uncomfortable (no teeth cleaning). I had a general checkup by my lifetime dentist in Aug 2019, who is now out-of-network, and he said my teeth look great with zero cavities. However, this "saleswoman" told me (two months later) that I had "mini" cavities that needed to be filled at a cost of $800 above what my insurance pays. I just didn't believe it! At my,first visit on o7/01/2021 I purchased insurance coverage thru an insurance carrier provided by the Ideal Denistry office. The plan was good for a year and included two routine cleanings. I had the first of the two on the day of my first visit. Due to covid, I was unable to schedule my second cleaning unit 07/ 08/2022. I was informed by the office staff worker that my coverage for the year had expired and I would need to purchase another year which would include two cleanings. I believe that this is an unfair practice as I actually paid for two cleanings initially when I purchased the coverage. They would not reconsider although it was only seven days expired. Currently very disappointed. Unfortunately, I believe that Ideal Dental could have handled COVID-19 better. When the offices first closed, they automatically assigned me (and I am assuming this has happened to their other customers as well) a new appointment weeks later and closed their doors for good. However, given the current circumstances, that appointment and their re-opening date have been pushed out several times. While all of this is understandable, Ideal Dental has NEVER called me concerning these appointments. Each time I call their office (which they have consolidated to the Lake Worth location), I hear "Oh *they* pushed your appointment back another week, it's now April X." I have received nothing but placid emails saying things like "our office hopes you're okay in these trying times." As far as my need for going to the dentist, I do not have any emergency dental appointments; I have an Invisalign treatment schedule and an upcoming move out of state that has exacerbated my problems. Given Ideal Dental's lack of communication and the fact that they "closed down the West 7th and no one can get in!" my Invisalign sets which could have been easily mailed to me (I would have paid for shipping I swear!) are nowhere to be found. At this point, if they wanted to just throw them on the concrete in front of the office and let me grab them from there, I'd be happy. However, I will now "complete" my treatment in another state which means I will have to pay another dentist to remove the buttons, a service I already paid for when I made the absolute MISTAKE of paying for my Invisalign in full. PS. They filled some "small" cavities due to sensitivity with no anesthesia in January. I have felt zero relief from my sensitivity and paid hundreds of dollars for my teeth to feel absolutely the same. 2 stars instead of 1 due to COVID. read more

Amazing! So glad I found this office. Spotless waiting room that smelled great. I wish I had thought to write everyone's names down. From being greeted at the desk to the hygienist and dentist, everyone was so kind and caring. I don't like to visit the dentist necessarily but it's important. And a great office with caring people who genuinely want the best for you is important. I was given all of my options in a clear understandable format and even told what things are more important to take care of first. Multiple payment options were presented in a kind and caring way. I paid for my procedure in full before it was done and a few months later they claim I had a balance of $547 due. I have contacted them several times and they are not able to produce an itemized statement showing where this additional amount is coming from. They have sent this to collection which has prompted me to write this review. Beware to anyone else. Even if you PAY IN FULL, they will come up with hidden costs and won't be able to show you on any itemized bill how they arrived at this amount. They will send you to collections hoping you will pay without a fight. This is completely dishonest and not acceptable. You can't agree on a price and then after the procedure ask for more money without showing they buyer where it's coming from. This is literally what has happened to me. After multiple attempts, no one at this office has been able to show where this additional charge is coming from yet they have not reached out to their collection agency to remove it. Terrible! Ideal Dental of West 7th is the worst. I went in for two fillings and knew exactly what my insurance covered. Ideal Dental charged me twice what I should have paid. When I told them this, they said to wait until the Explanation of Benefits and then they would reimburse me. They never did. Not only that but they had the nerve to charge me an additional $500 and I'm still getting random bills in the mail! No rhyme or reason as to their billing. I was told that my retainer/night guard would cost me around $300 and that my insurance would cover the rest I paid the $300 that same day. 30 days later I receive a bill in the mail I immediately call the dental office to ask why I received the bill. She told me to not pay the bill that the insurance was going to pay it. 60 days later I received another bill with almost $200 in late fees! The bill had NO description! I called again. They told me there was nothing they could do and that I had to pay the full amount even after they were the ones to tell me not to pay the first bill. I chose to just pay the other half of bill that insurance didn't pay and not include the late fees because I was told to not pay the bill! Ideal Dental lied to me about having 7 cavities, just to get a quick $500 out of me. I went to get a second opinion, and come to find out, I had zero cavities. When I called to complain and cancel the appointment they had set up for me, I talked to the regional coordinator, who in turn just hung up on me when I expressed that I didn't want to transfer to another one of their offices. After writing a google review, I immediately got a call back from Mindy, the Regional coordinator, saying we could "meet in the middle" and I "never got my free teeth whitening".
