    Fenway Auto Park

    Fenway Auto Park

    (11 reviews)

Fenway Auto Park was easily the most helpful and friendly used car dealership to whom I spoke with…read moreon the phone before deciding which one to go, and I spoke to many. My price range was extremely low. I chose to go here because the salesman I spoke to, Derek, said he could probably do a deal on a car valued higher and there were a number of possible vehicles in the lot. The experience did not start out well. While I standing on the forecourt, someone yelled while driving down Main Street that Fenway Auto Park ripped people off. There were less cars than Derek had said and less again that they could sell to me in my price range. The condition of the vehicles that they could were generally poor -- in one refused to start, another needed a jump, and another was partially being held together with duct tape along with definite exhaust problems and possible electrical and engine problems. Derek acted extremely slimy about all of them except the one that wouldn't start, making excuses for every concern and only admitting issues when pressed. Only one car was worth considering, a manual he had said on the phone was an automatic; I know I could learn stick quickly, but in the end there was some convoluted situation where they were holding it for a dealership up the street and the title was there so I'd have to get it in the morning, but the owner of the other dealership (who was just hanging out with them in their office) would only accept cash anyway. Very, very dodgy. As a side note I found out later they are unfriendly with the local car clubs, which is never a good sign in a car dealer. This was also evidently my only chance for history not to repeat itself, which has nothing to do with Fenway Auto Park directly -- but may have transpired at least slightly differently without extra needless deception from this car dealer.

I went here on Saturday morning 11/13/09 to buy a car. They had 4 cars listed that I was interested…read morein and I was going to buy one of them. I spoke with "Phil or Stan" I dont remember his name. The second I walked in the door I got an attitude. I was told they didnt have time for me and I had to come back in 40 min! WTF is that all about. He was not very nice about it either. When he discovered I was NOT the person he thought I was his attitude still didnt change. It was pouring rain out and he didnt help me with anything. He handed me a plate with some screws and 2 sets of keys. Saying that I could put the plate on and take them for a ride. He never offered an umbrella or even to come help. I got soaked through trying to test drive these cars. Then I got back and he says "So what one do you want to buy?" I told him id like to see the other cars first. He seemed pissed about having to find the keys to the other one as it has JUST arrived On he lot. After some coaxing, I got him to give me the keys. So this left the last car I wanted to drive "the one I was most interested in" I didn't see it on the lot so I headed back in to ask about it. "I had been told the night before by the owner that it was being detailed and would be in for me to view that morning" When I walked back in the guy ask es me AGAIN "So what one do you want to buy?" I then said "I'm not ready yet, id like to see the maroon one" He then proceeded to tell me it had been sold already. I asked him when and he said the previous morning. "funny, bob told me last night it would be here today" So I called him on the lie. I said "OK, someone is lying to me its either you or Bob" That is when the fun started. He got out of his seat and came around to me SCREAMING nasty words and telling me to get out of his building. He said NOBODY calls me a liar in my house. I then asked him why Bob would tell me that if it was already sold. He wouldn't answer only kept swearing at me and telling me to get out. The things he said I wont even post here. He was very mean and I felt threatened by him. I honestly thought he was going to take a swing at me. I then said OK, I only wanted to buy a car but instead ill give the owner a call and let him know how I was treated. This is when lie #2 came into play. He started screaming again and kicked the door open yelling at me to get out that HE was Bob the owner and he wanted me out NOW. I know he was not Bob because I went and sat in my car and called Bob and while watching the guy not picking up a phone Bob answered. I told Bob everything that had just hap pend and he relay didn't seem surprised, nor did he seem like he was going to do a thing about it. Its really very sad as I was going to buy a car from them that day. After all this I left with a sick feeling from how I had been treated. I went home and started my search for a car again only to discover that the car I wanted was right in my own town at a dealer that was more than polite and happy to have my sale. So I got my new car and have sworn to tell everyone of how I was treated at Fenway auto.

Flawless workmanship: Louis and his team laid the film so cleanly I can't even find the edges -- exactly how PPF should look. Lightning-fast turnaround: Dropped the car off the day I took delivery and picked it up the very next day. Outstanding communication: Louis answered every call, text, and email, and even sent progress videos throughout the install. Family-friendly service: He took time to chat with my 3-year-old daughter (she's now a fan of the shop). Pride, not hype: No flashy ads or supercars in the lobby -- just humble pros who let their workmanship speak for itself. After trying two "big-name" installers on previous cars -- both left visible edges -- Danvers Hand Wash & Detail blew them away. The SunTek Reaction film looks stunning, and the sheen has even converted this former XPEL loyalist. If you care about perfection, honesty, and great people, stop searching. Louis has earned a customer for life, and I'll be sending all my friends and family his way.
