Room was clean and comfortable. No fixed shower head, only a handheld shower which is not the most convenient way. The tub is however has a jacuzzi. If you can, choose a room with a beach balcony and I swear you won't regret it at all. It offers a buffet breakfast with a tremendous array of options from fruits, nuts, yoghurt, coffee, pastries, Nutella, etc. It's a very good place to stay if you're planning to move from Savona to Monaco or Nice (which is what I did). Something to bear in mind is that there is a parking lot, but sometimes all the parking spots are taken as there is a restaurant and a bar inside the hotel. There are parking lots on the area, but of course, you have to pay for them. I would die to return in the summer and take advantage of the hotel's extraordinary swimming pool and small beach resort.

We showed up around 10pm and they had the bellhop ready to valet park out car and our room was all set for us to have our keys in hand and walk in. The elevator is a bit cramped but the rooms themselves are not. Beautifully appointed and clean with bright colors for accents/accessories and huge windows. They had fresh cut fruit and a nice bottle of wine chilling for us in our room so it was a great late night snack. The bathroom was enormous too! I loved that one of our windows had a view of someone's house across the way and you could hear the old couple arguing with each other while the woman cooked...it felt like we were part of the neighborhood instead of being in a stuff hotel. Just a quick walk out of the hotel and down to the bottom of the hill were where all the attractions of Portofino were so there was no reason to ever get our car out. Aside from the small local business stores, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and a few other luxury brands had shops in town as well. The port reminded me a bit of Monte Carlo Monaco port, just on a smaller scale but these yachts were just as impressive. And it was nice to stroll along the pier after dinner to watch the sun set. Truly a magical place and will be back!
