We all had soft ice cream dipped in different toppings: - dark chocolate and brownie - cotton candy - salted caramel All were sooooo damned good! Our lattes were alright, but not amazing (it's an ice cream/dessert shop, so that's what I'm evaluating them for, after all). Enjoyed our visit, will be back.

Well sorry DQ, DIPERIE Because this place is killing it !…read more One of the best ice cream cones I've ever had. Sure the line ups in pics look insane but so do the ones to go in to the club ? Gotta pick and choose your battles and I say ice cream wins this battle. After a nice night with my best friend we took off for a nice night stroll with ice cream on our minds. At the half way mark we stoped in to get a drink because we already hit the half way point so why not celebrate. Arriving for our much anticipated ice cream cone we were lucky to see no lines and the whole place to ourselves. I took my time trying flavours like blueberry which was cool but not willing to dip my entire ice cream in that flavour. That takes a load of commitment. Instead got my go to the salted caramel. We grabbed a seat outside and sat down and cheers out small dipped vanilla cones. One of the best chocolates I've ever had, it's so rich and creamy and does not taste at all like the cheap plastic hollow Easter bunnies that most places use. If you can't make it here which it's a little Tricky to get to I suggest going to any

This use to be my favorite place as a child. Now it's just a sad story :(…read more My dad bought my birthday cake from there today for old times sake. He spent 30$ for an ice cream cake with my 4 letter real name on it, and it gave 10 slices. I felt so bad that he wasted his money on this, because it was a very sad looking and tasting cake. First of all, the decorations were of something anyone could do at home. Those actual old school chocolate line spinkles all along the side, and round rainbow sprinkles ontop, a layer of chocolate syropy icing, and colorful icing baloons, and happy birthday rana in hand written icing on top. That right there.. like.. why would a business choose to decorate like that lol that's the kind of short cut a grocery store would do... why here lol yeah, that right there is not 30$ worthy... I'm sorry. Rip off. The cake was completely made out of regular ol' chocolate ice cream, nothing special at all. My dad remarked that he was tempted to just buy 3 containers full of actual ice cream flavors instead, because their price was the same together as that cake, but he held back because of the bday thing, and he really wanted to buy me a cake... The ice cream cake itself didn't even seem to have been made properly. It was overly soft, even right after sitting in our freezer for 3 hours. The Knife went right through, and slipped off all the toppings, and crushed the overly tender soft ice cream. It was very strange. Usually when we buy ice cream cakes, it's very hard to cut cause it's so solid, so we wet the blade. This cake... was as if it was purposely made with soft serve ice cream, but it didn't really taste all that good or sweet. Very plain, and very cheap tasting, which is such a shame for the high price they charged. We could have went next door to rockaberries for a pie cake which would have costed less even but at least have some taste and is a little more eye appealing. A pastry trained person that was with us explained that this could not have been made with soft served icecream even, because it's been in the freezer for too long to even stay that soft the entire time, and therefore there must have been a mistake in the process of it's making at the store. I don't know if that is accurate, all I know was that the cake was not just a fail, but also it's entire concept was very plain jane for it's price and yeld. (Also, the cake itself kept on slipping side to side on it's base! We couldn't even move it back to the center by sliding a wide knife under, as it was completely soft) I'm kind of upset really, because this store use to be the highlight of my childhood. Did they plumit down since then? Or were they always this bad, and I just never noticed because I didn't know any better as a kid? If so, I feel so horrible for all the cakes my dad bought there... a total rip off for parents... This store needs some pride.

La Diperie on the West Island is a "cool" and lovely addition to what they've been missing out on…read more As most of their locations are quite far for West Islanders. I'm glad and happy for the growing success of La Diperie. As the original owner once told me. We grew mainly because of social media(Mostly Instagram) and our loyal customers. The location on the West Island has the same tasty flavours and variety as the others. Which is lovely! However.. The ambiance, cleanliness, and staff is simply quite disappointing. The floors are dirty, I stepped on many sprinkles, globs of melted ice cream and a good layer of dust. The ambiance feels far too big and messy. Random things on the counter, again a small layer of dust, poor quality pain and dirty windows. Arrows out of light blue masking tape on the floor, which are slightly peeling off. Napkin dispenser almost empty, owner dragging a leaky trash bag across the store.. Yes, they've been open since July 1st, which is only a few days. Having said all this, details related to organization and cleanliness I think are very important! The location is around the corner from a poor looking strip mall, hard to find! Enjoying your ice cream outside becomes a unattractive challenge. Only four very uncomfortable chairs, facing a parking lot. As for the staff, they are kind and polite. Can't say much more. Overall, I do hope they succeed within time.

Since I was on my way to dinner (don't judge me) I opted for a small with two flavours: chocolat sans sucre and pistache chocolat cerise. Basically unsweetened chocolate and pistachio with chocolate and cherry. They went so well together that I want to give myself a pat on the back. Both flavours were sweet and creamy, and exactly as gelato should be. I'm newly motivated to hunt some down and make the effort closer to home!

I had the lime gelato but it was way too strong! Would not have that again. I really liked the cookies and cream and the hazelnut. They really stuff the cup tightly. The second I walked out in the sun, things started melting. I wish they hadn't packed it that much because it got messy quickly. They have other dessert options as well which I did not try. Since this was in the mall, there was no proper ordering line. The staff would randomly ask anyone standing in front of them which I didn't appreciate. It would smarter to have everyone start from one end. I know others including myself were walking back and forth to see all the options. However, to be fair they should take orders from the people waiting in line first.

You are greeted warmly upon entering. There are many flavors to choose from and the best part, you get to try them all!!! My favorite was the mango and strawberry. They are super kid friendly and focused. My daughter loved the chocolate and bubble gum flavor. Bonus that your child gets to choose a surprise from a box of toys afterwards! And one gelato gets you a free churro, so you totally can't go wrong there. The owner is super friendly and nice and seems super passionate about his business. The ambiance is lovely with a photo op area to take photos and plenty of places to sit and enjoy a gelato! All in all highly recommend!

I've seen him talk to many people, many who seem to be regulars. I first met the owner 2 summers back, he had given me a coupon for a free gelato. I'd forgotten about it until recently. I wasn't sure he'd still accept it but he very kindly did! I chose the pistachio gelato, it seemed to be one of the most popular flavours. The scoops were far more generous than I expected! The flavour was very rich and had plenty of pistachio taste. The gelato wasn't perfect; there was a bit of ice in it. But I can't complain, after all the service was lovely and it was free. My partner got a soft serve ice cream which was also very good! There are also a multitude of macaron flavours and also fresh churros! There's cotton candy as well, which kids seemed to go crazy for. There's also a saltwater fishtank inside the store which was very cool! I would definitely come back, the owner is a very nice man. I saw him offer free treats to kids passing by, and it's definitely worth a visit just to chat with him.
