Ok, I'll be the first to review here. A gelato line at 9pm is a good sign. Quite a few flavors to…read morechoose from, I'd say at least 20 or more. I would have taken a photo but honestly, the gelato wasn't very pretty looking, which made me skeptical. Lots of only last scrapes of the barrels left...but maybe there is a reason for this... it's damn good and the customers kept coming. Between me and my group, I managed to sample Hazelnut, Coffee, Rum Raisin, Cookies, and Salted Caramel. All were excellent and smooth with no crystallization. I'm generally happy with a plain scoop in a cup, so nothing is taking away from the gelato. But they did have a large sign displaying all kinds of Sundays with toppings, the mixed berry Sunday caught my eye, so someone else please report on that for me. As did the Watermelon gelato, which looked like gelato and not sorbet. Lots of fruit options here. Also curious of the liquor bottles on the shelves, maybe there was a reason that the raisins in the rum raisins were properly prepared. Hopefully my first review is one of many for them. Well done. Excellent Gelato!

The line will most likely be long but it moves fast and it is worth the wait. The staff are quick and efficient. There are a myriad of toppings to choose from. I got the coconut cream and berries. The coconut cream was light and not overly sweet and the berries were so fresh. I don't believe they have indoor seating but there is plenty of seating space available right outside the store. If you're in Salzburg, you need to go to Fabi's!

It came out really quick and tasted good. It also came with a roll. It was plenty of food for me! It's very pretty in here and apparently the oldest cafe in Salzburg. First morning in Salzburg and we were looking for our first breakfast kind of like home. We walked…read morepast Habakuk and caught a glimpse of the Strudel in the window, and all thoughts of bacon and eggs were out the window! We walked in and were very warmly greeted, and sat right across from the glass cases that showcased their wares. Given two menus in German, we figured it out pretty quick. They had a NY breakfast and one below that outlined eggs, ham, cheese and bread, bingo, two orders of those please and water. Our utensils and napkins were brought on a white plate along with salt and pepper, as well as a silver plate holding our waters, which was a great touch. The interior is very classy, old school elegance, and the servers were the same, nicely dressed very polite and helpful. Our food arrived quickly, hot and abundant, not exactly bacon and eggs, but very good. We were not asked how we wanted our eggs cooked,, so what you see is what you get. My eggs were a little overcooked for my taste, but the lovely K got some yolk run. There was a very good amount of food for the price and it all worked well together. We had the chance to chat with our server who spoke very good English, as it seems most of the people we have come across in our two weeks on the Continent do. We had to go back the next afternoon to try the Strudel of course. We were recognized right away, and the place was quite a bit busier so we walked up the stairs and were sat in the main dining area. The Strudel was quite delicious, and once again abundant and swimming in warm custard, which I wasn't sure of, but man it was good. Also added a Stiegel beer which is brewed right here in Salzburg for over 500 years. Cafe Habakuk is a bit of a throwback to simpler times when good service and great food, at fair prices was the norm rather than the exception and we couldn't be happier. Our next trip back to Salzburg we will most certainly be back!

We decided to walk inside on a mission to try said apple strudel and were greeted by kind staff. We took a seat and had THE loveliest waiter. Long story short, the apple strudel was DIVINE. The entire dessert just feels homey and hits all the right spots. The sandwich was really good too. The bread was quite buttery and crispy. The salad had thousand island dressing. So so good!
