This shop is like a mini supermarket in the heart of the Acocks Green Village and as the name suggests you could save a lot of money by shopping here. Most of their veg was "Buy 3 for £1.00" and it actually looked fresh! Most of their dry food was no more than £2.00. With prices this low I think their profit margins must be small and I was left wondering how they made money. If they did make a good profit I think a lot of it needs to be invested in a new floor because their current one is just dirty! The shop isn't that big, in fact it's a decent size. They've put some of the food including veg openly outside and it looked fresh, whether this is due to lack of indoor space or to lure people in I don't know. Either way if I bought anything that was left outside I'd give it a thorough wash. Despite this I would like to come back here to pick up some quality food for low prices.

However they sell a good range of products for the Asian cuisine and have a halal butchers at the back but it would help if the the staff spoke good English!! Bottom line is I probably wouldn't buy anything that was kept outside, from here but I wouldn't mind buying the packaged goods because it's good quality and good value for money.

As a vegan that cooks most meals from fresh, I find it useful that they have such a wide variety of ingredients, rather than pre-pack meals. I try to ignore the meat counter at the back, as it freaks me out, but if you happen to be Muslim, I guess it's handy as it's Halal meat. The main thing about this place is the people that work there. They are so friendly, polite and always willing to help. They also make you feel welcome, which certainly doesn't happen in the Co-Op opposite! You might not be able to find everything you need in there, but for bits and pieces and if you enjoy cooking and Asian cuisine, then this is the place for you. Prices are pretty reasonable too!

They're always busy, which is testament to the wide selection of products they have and offers they tend to put on. The fruit and vegetables are displayed outside where you're free to bag as much as you like and ask a staff member to keep it near the tills while you browse through the aisles inside. The staff members are very polite and offer to drop your shopping to your car, which is very helpful because parking in the area is hectic so you could be quite a walk away. Although their fruit and vegetables are competitively priced, I feel the rest of their items can be overpriced, considering the number of supermarkets you have on this stretch of the Stratford Road. They could do a better job of maintaining the shop floor and exterior considering they have many workers.

I buy a lot (too much in fact!) of the weight watchers frozen foods and where the meals are £1 each here at my supermarket they are around £1.50. The only downside is the fact they do not do much in the way of fresh foods but do stock milks, bread, meat, crisps and condiments as well as other basics but not as much as a Tescos or Sainsburys

For me though generally it is a nightmare to drive in and out of, it is so close to the main Coventry Rd and I only tend to go here during a weekday as evenings and weekends it is too stressful to drive too.
