The store is very easy to find, it is based where the Accrington college used to be situated. The car park is under the actual store, so is very large, although I always find that under-store parking seems to be dark, maybe a few more lamps wouldn't go amiss. There are two cash-points at the main entrance and I quite like the box with two foot-prints painted on the outside of them, to show people to stand back when waiting, I personally loathe people standing to near me when I use an ATM. Just inside the entrance on the right is a play area for the kids, you will notice when entering the store that there is enough light, as the window-walls are next to the 'Travelator' that you go up to the shopping level. Of course, the store is an 'Extra', so it offers grocery, electronics, clothing, pharmacy and has a stylish cafe just as you get to the shopping floor. The aisles are very wide, so it's great to get round, this in fact is the reason I shop here, also down to the fact that the Tesco is new, so it's fairly quiet at most times, I think this is down to the locals being loyal to Asda, but I would recommend they try Tesco out at least once or twice, it's a lot bigger than Asda and I find that there is more on offer at Tesco.

This is a nice Tesco store, although it is small, especially for a "Tesco Superstore", the store…read morestill looks and feels new as it was refurbished towards the end of 2019, after being converted from a Jack's store (Tesco's failed attempt to create a budget supermarket brand to compete with Aldi and Lidl). It is located in the Rossendale town of Rawtenstall on Bocholt Way. They have the handheld Scan as You Shop Scanners here which was a pleasant surprise, most Tesco stores have them now but it never said they did online, so I presume they are a new addition. I like how this store is located with views of the river, this does mean the only way to access it as a pedestrian is via a very small and narrow bridge, this could be a nightmare to cross in the dark as it isn't very well lit, it could also be a problem if you need extra space to cross. I did find the whole of Rawtenstall to be pretty poor for pedestrian access anyway. The product ranges is OK, I couldn't find what I was looking for, but most items you'd expect to find here were on offer in some shape or form, which is of course supported by many other supermarkets also within Rawtenstall town centre including Iceland, Marks and Spencer, Aldi, Lidl and ASDA, the latter is the only store bigger than this one, as many of them are pretty small. 3* - I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but it isn't too bad.

I visited the B&M Accrington store to check if, like previous visits to various B&M stores around…read morethe country, they were still selling what I would call poor quality, shoddy & quite suspect looking products. Yet again I saw the same suspect products. It seems to me that the amount of counterfeit products that this company may be selling is truly shocking! B&M have recently been featured on the TV consumer awareness programme 'Fake Britain' selling a potentially life threatening counterfeit children's night light which could easily set on fire & could cause serious injury or even death to a child or family. When looking at all the B&M products, I fear that this is definitely not an isolated case & that this company may be buying & selling mass amounts of counterfeit goods mostly purchased from China; (which is now known as the counterfeit capital of the world & it's said that 70% of the world's seized counterfeit goods come from China.) It's not just toys that are being counterfeited; air-fresheners that have carcinogenic chemicals in them, dangerous fake medicines & tablets, beauty products, food & drink, clothes & even pet food - all these things are being counterfeited on a massive scale. Look at the alarmingly huge amounts of bad reviews of the products that this company buys & sells & it appears clear to me that there is a real issue with cheap, bad quality, faulty & potentially dangerous, possible counterfeit goods being off-loaded onto the un-suspecting public; who are just trying to save money in this time of economic trouble. This company sells a lot of what appears to me to be very under priced products ranging from paracetamol tablets to vitamins & medicines, from air fresheners to beauty products & from hair dryers to children's toys to televisions. We must ask ourselves why is all this stuff so cheap? Imagine if, like the 70% of all seized counterfeit goods coming from China, that 70% or more of the products that this company sells is indeed counterfeit, & poses a real danger to people & animals, families & their children's lives. I would urge people to research what I've wrote here & about the monstrous level at which counterfeit goods are being brought into this country & are being sold throughout the high street by companies such as B&M which have been exposed by the 'Fake Britain' consumer awareness TV programme. Although some may not find my review helpful right now and may not agree with what I've wrote, hopefully it will still have some kind of bearing on whether or not you choose to buy products from B&M in the future and/or at least make you think about whether or not the product you are buying from them is counterfeit & dangerous to yourself and to your children. Thank you.
