He was visibly upset that I parked my car there taking up a spot that his rich friends with their Teslas usually park . I wanted to ask him what the problem was with me parking there , but let it go so it doesn't distract me from my purpose of the visit . This is repeated incident of events that seem to prove that people who occupy this mosque are biased towards non-Syrians coming to pray there , and it's just not Syrians that they prefer it's Syrians with certain status quo . May Allah guide them to accept all Muslims.

Their grounds are well maintained and gorgeous with plants, flowers, and water features. They have a Welcome Center that explains the history and symbolism to truly appreciate everything this temple has to offer. I recommend stopping here to not only take in its beauty but to connect to faith as a whole. Tip: No Photography is allowed inside the Temple.

Horrible location . Why is there a line of people crossing the main road. I've visited when traveling thru Chicago a few times and only felt welcomed when I was without my family. Somehow the heart and love that should be shown to Muslims is missing in my experience. Infants are prohibited because of an irrational fear of soiling the masjid as though they dont wear diapers, it's the 21st century and babies don'tsoil the Haram but are allowed. Reminds me of the hadith where the Prophet (sws) shortened the prayer when children cried because he was concerned about mothers. Also reminds me of the hadith when a Bedouin urinated in the masjid and he (sws) simply ordered water be poured over it while the rest of the sahabah wanted to beat the man up! [Both in Bukhari] Women are also minimalized if they are on their menses but to not be able to step foot in the facility at all and instead be locked outside is far from the brotherhood/sisterhood of Islam. There are areas that women should be able to wait in and that you dont pray in. May Allah rectify the hearts of the Muslims, ameen.

Allow me to inform you that The Nation of Islam is NOT a regular Muslim/Islam Organization. It was designed specifically for the Black Americans who descended from slavery in North America . It specifically addresses the issues of PTSD (Post-Traumatic Slave Disorder) due to 400 years of Slavery abuse, and continued social injustice in America. There is virtually nothing in the Original Nation of Islam teachings that is in line with the usual Middle Eastern Islamic Teachings. The disciplines taught even down to the diet are different. For example: Middle eastern Muslims smoke.. Nation of Islam members are not allowed to indulge in any intoxicants, whatsoever, including tobacco. Another example is in usual Islam a man can take up to four wives. However, Members of The Nation of Islam cannot marry more than one woman. Also, Members of the Nation of Islam are also forbidden to carry guns. Even the dress code is unique and members of the Nation of Islam can usually be identified by their uniforms, which include a Bow Tie for men and specific Headpieces for the women.
