I don't stay at Hyatt properties often since their portfolio is not as expansive as Marriott but I…read morehave to say this property really impressed me. Located right outside of Grand Rapids, the property sits on what seems to be a brand new restaurant and shopping district. Right outside the hotel you can conveniently walk to a bar, local gym, and a few shops. The area felt very safe, clean and quiet. You can tell you're in the suburbs. The hotel itself was also very well maintained, like new. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. At check-in they provide bottled water per request. I had a one-bedroom suite and it was honestly perfect. Just the way I like it. Modern decor, good lighting, a fridge, and a Nespresso machine. The tv surpassed my expectations, fully smart tv compatible with Netflix and HBO Max available to stream. The bathroom was spacious with warm bright lighting, plenty of towels, and the shower had the perfect water pressure. The room was overall very cozy. The gym facility was very well maintained with plenty of cardio equipment like treadmills and Peloton bikes. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub next to the facility. Highly recommend this Hyatt if you're in the area.

Customer service was great, the lobby and restaurant looked beautiful. Swimming pool looked clean and the fortress room was fully stocked. A Starbucks by the restaurant and they did a great job making drinks. The only down side to this location is no free breakfast. Which is fine, there plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Parking was less than $10 a night - which is a steal. And to top it all off, the room was amazing. We got a suite (that was not much more) and got a couch bed and a king size, and the view of the river was a sight to see. We have to come back often to see family, and will likely be staying here.

It was a great space for all 7 of us to be able to hang out at the same time with 2 tvs, a ton of seating and great view of the downtown area. They have a complimentary breakfast each morning where you order and it's cooked within a few minutes. They also have a complimentary happy hour that is from Mon - Thurs 5:30pm to 7. We didn't get to partake in it on this trip but we did the first time we stayed. Parking is through a public garage that is attached to the hotel and it was $15/night. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is great as you have easy access to a lot of restaurants within walking distance.

I've played in live bands, run corporate events with over 1000 attendees, and been married, all to the music that Murphy Sound has provided. Even if he's not able to attend himself, he's incredibly selective about the people he trains and employs, and they're careful to help support a party without joining it personally. I've never had an equipment problem - microphone, speaker or otherwise - and the sound has always been loud enough to get people up but quiet enough not to make people deaf. (a rare balance) If you're looking for a party, wedding or a gig (they've done all three for me, including my IMU wedding for 350) Murphy Sound is an excellent and reliable solution. -Aaron Warner IC local, sponsor of IDT's corporate holiday parties, singer in a band and married guy :)
