They made and delivered a beautiful arrangement, with fair pricing. They sent a picture of the final product. There weren't a bunch of fillers in the arrangement. I will use them for all my local needs! read more

Kerry was incredible helping me sent flowers to my dear friend whose mother had recently died. Ordering from another city (Philadelphia) is always tricky, but she made it so easy and definitely over-delivered with a beautiful arrangement. It arrived on time without any issues and was even filled with several unusual flowers --both fresh and dried -- from her personal garden. Grateful for Kerry's help! I will always use Every Bloomin' Thing when sending flowers in the greater Iowa City area. read more

Spoke with Kerry regarding a delivery for a Sunday. she was most accommodating and helpful. She was very patient with me in letting me get my information for her as i did not have it all written in front of me at the time of my call. I will always keep them in my address book as I do not live around Iowa City read more

At 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, I used my google maps to find the closest flower shops. We were headed to visit an Aunt and we wanted to surprise her with flowers. Every Bloomin' Thing popped up and I saw it closed at 2:00 p.m. We pulled in and when we entered the store, I could see a gentleman with his back to me sweeping the floor. I got his attention and assumed that he would move us along quickly with not much for flowers. WOW!! We received the most value-added service I have ever received in a flower shop. He took the time to put a beautiful arrangment together, visited with us with kindness and interest, and sent us on our way with a discount that was unecessary but appreciated. I will be singing the praises in Ames for Every Bloomin' Thing in Coralville, IA. Thank you, Zach. read more

I was driving down the road and I'm at the stop light, and over in an unusual spot I see a cute little store that looks like a plant store! So I piss off a few "good" drivers (I'm not one of them) by my craziness and I pull into their parking lot. The girl in the store that helped me was so super, super friendly! She helped me pick out a couple of plants and she suggested a pot too (I know, a sales tactic, but it works when the price is low and the pot is super super cute! and I felt like she wasn't being a salesperson she just thought it would look nice in the particular pot). She even potted my plant for me and put rocks in the bottom of the pot for drainage :) My plant is so happy at work and I love having it here. Next time I drive by this store I am going to stop again! In shops like this the friendliness means sooo much. I am already looking forward to stopping in again on my next visit :) The house plants/succulents/cacti have good prices. I did not look at or inquire about cut flowers while there so I can not speak to their quality or price. read more

Called them to order flowers to be delivered to my daughter and they were so helpful and kind.

I ordered a colorful Birthday flower arrangement for my daughters birthday. It was delivered on the day promised however, it was very dull , and not colorful at all. It is quite difficult to hear a florist state what they might put in it, without stating colors or knowing what the types of flowers are. I asked for 6 pink roses, but again there are many ranges of color in pink roses, which was not stated over the phone. For the money of $76.40 I was very disappointed with what she received. Much different than what she received in the past. They threw in some red Christmas type berries, faded pink roses, and "complimentary" white stock and filler baby's breath. Response: When we had spoken on the phone we had talked about pink roses, berries and others. Roses are $5.00 per stem so 6 roses takes most of the value. Since we only talked about three over the phone I did add the white stock complementary.Given the shade of pink we went with a more elegant look rather than throwing in a lot of color. We apologize that we didn't achieve the look you were envisioning however is was filled over value. Since they do not care about a disappointed customer, I will gladly take my business elsewhere! read more

When I was looking fir a particular house plant that they did not have, they put my name on a list for when they could find one for me and as soon as they did they called me. When I picked it up, I was pleased to see that their Covid precautions were great, with a full length plexiglass wall separating them from customers and a unique pass through for the plants. read more

First off, EBT doesn't believe baby's breath. There isn't any in the store. Seriously though I get my wife's flower arrangements from here as they are the best by far. The filler they use is a green bamboo type and the wonderful smell fills the house for weeks. The roses actually last unlike other places who sell the cheap roses and pass them off as top quality. This place deserves a lot of praise and a lot of business. Will definitely be back. read more

I got this little cutie from the store this weekend! So many cute plants and pots to choose from. When I went to check out the asked if I wanted it potted. Yes please!! I will absolutely be coming back here. Great prices, amazing quality product, and I love the mix and match pot/plants ability. Also loved how they bagged it up for the drive home. read more

Stumbled upon this place on accident because I saw 'indoor plants' on one of their advertising signs. Immediately started smacking my boyfriend 'WE HAVE TO GO!!!!'. they were bringing in their newest shipment of pots, so employees were extremely busy and careful. The ENTIRE time they were doing so, they were checking in on the customers and making sure we were happy and comfortable. I absolutely love love LOVE their employees and how they took care of us. We bought a handful of succulents and a few pothos for my in laws. They potted our plants BEAUTIFULLY and wrapped them up for transportation. The price we paid for everything was the price of a normal potted plant at any store. It was WONDERFUL. If you need to pot your indoor plants, this is the place to to. Unfortunately I'm from out of texas, so I wouldn't be able to frequent this shop. If I were, count me in as a regular customer! I'm excited to go again one day! read more

Pretty good flower selection. They had a number of different colors of roses - even in the deeps of winter - which was nice. Greenery with the flowers was an extra $1 - a first for me, but not unheard of I'm sure. Overall, wasn't overly impressed, but I wasn't unimpressed either. It's definitely a spot I'll drop by in the future for flowers on my way home! read more

I put cut eucalyptus in my office and hang some in my shower (seriously try it, it'll make your shower feel like a spa) and usually pick up a couple branches from the grocery store florist along with my groceries. I thought I'd try Every Bloomin' Thing since it's on my way home and is a smaller business. The first time, I left empty-handed because they only take cash for small transactions. My most recent visit, I was also looking for a couple succulents and air plants to use as props in a photo shoot I was doing. They didn't have much for air plants, just two free-standing air plants and the rest had been incorporated into larger rock and log displays. They were cute displays but wouldn't work for what I needed. I ended up picking out several small succulents and although it was a small selection, I was happy with the variety they had. The pricing, though. Uffda. I paid almost $20 for three tiny 1.5" succulents. I was also a little grumpy about being charged for two branches of eucalyptus when they were more like two sticks of eucalyptus - meanwhile the branches I get at the grocery store florist are always nice and full, with several offshoots. Bummer. read more

We selected Sanja and her team at Every Bloomin' Thing to help make our wedding beautiful and she did just that. We brought her just a few pictures of the "vibe" we were going for and let her take it from there. (I highly recommend working this way vs. dictating specific arrangements.) I was especially impressed at how inspired Sanja is after all her years in the business. Her creativity, excitement and enthusiasm were contagious! Yes, she's busy, but when the time came to focus on our wedding, she really came through. She took ridiculously detailed notes down to the exact spellings of everyone in our wedding party. And when we had one little hiccup and a ring bearer's flowers were missing, she sent a driver out ASAP with a new boutonniere. In the end, our flowers were stunning and exactly what we wanted. read more

Honestly I cannot even give this place a star rating because it was CLOSED. :( We wanted to stop by on a Sunday morning to purchase flowers for a family member at the hospital at 10:30 in the morning and it was CLOSED?! Doesn't help that there was major construction going on right in front of the store. There were 2-3 other cars that also wanted to buy flowers and pulled a loop in the parking lot. Advice: Weekend hours are a good thing :) read more

I prefer to use local florists instead of going through 1-800-FL***RS, or a similar service. I'm in the SF Bay Area, but needed a florist in Iowa City. I found Every Bloomin' Thing online, and called and left a message yesterday because it was after hours on the East Coast. I promptly received a call back this morning and was able to place my order over the phone. The process was easy, and the person on the phone was so pleasant and understood exactly what I was looking for. She explained what flowers they had, and promised to put together something nice. I had forgotten to request a receipt, so I called back shortly after placing my order, and I believe I spoke to a different person this time. She was also extremely friendly, and sent me my receipt by email immediately. You can tell they enjoyed what they do, and that just makes all the difference sometimes. I was also surprised that they were able to deliver the flowers today without hesitation. I rarely ever get to see the flowers once they are delivered. The recipient text me a photo this evening, saying how much she loved them, so I was able to see the finishing product this time. And they were absolutely beautiful. They delivered on their promise and did a really really nice job. I highly recommend Every Bloomin' Thing, and would be a frequent customer if I lived in the area. Thank you so much. read more

I ordered flowers for a friend of mine online, after completely screwing up my order (my fault), I called the store and they were so sweet and helpful getting it squared away. Turns out my friend was out of town and the flowers couldn't be delivered, they called me to let me know that they spoke with her and sorted out a new delivery date when she returned. They went above and beyond for me and I'm so appreciative. I will definitely be using them again. read more

I just spent $70 for the Ring Around the Rosie birthday arrangement. I was dismayed when my friend sent me a photo of three roses and four chocolates with a few sprigs of greenery. When I went back and looked online, I see that they did give a description that I didn't take the time to read so that's my bad. However, the photo actually shows three arrangements in one so at first glance, it looked a lot "fuller". When I called the store to discuss it, Carrie, the owner, basically explained it was BUYER BEWARE and tried to talk about the superior roses (all three of them) used. So, I guess my advice is BUYER BEWARE and if at all possible, go to a florist yourself, bring your own vase, pick out three roses (my neighborhood florist throws in some greenery for free), and buy a few chocolates. I can guarantee that you will spend less than $20. What a waste of money and it was embarrassing when my friend sent me a photo "to make sure you know what you sent". The only person satisfied in this whole thing was Carrie since she got my $70. read more

Sent flowers from Florida to my friends moms funeral in Iowa City. Based on Yelp contacted Every Bloomin' thing. Prepared and delivered three different, yet corresponding bouquets in vases to our hotel for my wife's birthday last week. Large vase in sitting area, smaller vase on night stand, and a bud vase on the bathroom vanity. Made the room smell wonderfully, and every day we returned to the room, she was so excited. They were exceptional and of a very high quality. We had them in the room for a 4 day stay, and I expect they would have lasted at leas a week. Very helpful staff, and delivered and set up in time for our arrival and the big surprise. read more

We planned a small wedding on the fly last week and did our flowers through these guys. They were amazing. I walked in like a crazy person and said I was getting married the next day and needed a bunch of flowers to make bouquets and boutonnieres myself and had no idea what I wanted. The shop attendant first of all made several excellent recommendations for what kind of flowers were available. She helped me design a beautiful bouquet with creme roses and silver eucalyptus. And to top it all off, she taught me how to make all the arrangements myself, complete with ribbon and artfully placed pins. I was completely floored. What a wonderful experience! read more

I sent my sweetheart flowers after she passed her dissertation defense. When she hadn't received them by 4:00, I started to worry so I called the shop. According to the computer, I had placed my order for a week from the date I had wanted them to be delivered. Without skipping a beat, Maya (?) said she could deliver them today. You would think I would've been singing gospel songs at this point, but I am one picky customer (pun intended). I wanted to be sure I would get the full value in flowers since the ones I had selected online were not available yet. I also wanted the same ribbon from the online display (Picky, I told you.). Again, with a wonderful attitude, all my concerns were answered. Sweetie just received the flowers and flipped out over how gorgeous they are. I believe her exact words upon delivery were, "Every Bloomin' Thing is the shit!" Sometimes academics get right to the point. read more

I ordered a very expensive bouquet for my girlfriend on Valentine's Day from Every Bloomin' Thing through their Internet ordering service. My girlfriend works in a hospital so I left very detailed directions on how to get to the area that she was working in. I even called them in the morning to make sure that the delivery was going to go OK. They assured me everything would be fine. Later, I received an email from them confirming that they had been delivered. I waited for my girlfriend to send me a text message to thank me for the flowers but I didn't get anything. Finally, I got a text message "The hospital is slow, they are letting me go home early." I panicked and replied "Did you get anything special today?" to which she responded "Nope." So I had to spoil the surprise and tell her that she should have had flowers delivered to her. The next 30 minutes were spent calling Every Bloomin' Thing and the delivery guy to figure out where they delivered them. They had delivered them to the wrong place. Now I understand that mistakes can happen but when you leave detailed instructions for them to overt these types of problems and they blatantly ignore them, that is when I expect some sort of apology or maybe a discount on another bouquet. Instead, the person I spoke to on the phone said that it would make a funny story and that they would get delivery right next year when I ordered again. HA! The gall that lady has! So I am giving 1 star because the flowers were fine but for $100 plus a $15 delivery fee, I would expect better service. I would avoid them and look for other local florists. read more

Every Bloomin' Thing has a terrific reputation as one of the best flower shops in town. It's the place where you can usually find a really nice, out of the ordinary flower arrangement. The reason I only gave them two stars: I chose them to do the flowers for my wedding a few years ago and they didn't do a very good job. I didn't feel they were very careful to listen to what I wanted. About half of the flowers were beautiful; the other half (my bouquet included!) were quite mediocre. The flowers in my bouquet had pollen all over them which ended up staining my wedding dress. Grrrrr! Regardless, lots of people I know go there regularly and really like it. read more

I've been to this establishment a handful of times and every single trip I've left more than satisfied. The owner has helped me out a few of those visits and she is a true local business owner. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you receive the aesthetic value you desire. Recollecting one of the visits: I really wanted to purchase a bouquet for my roommate's birthday and realized that in order to get the desired look that I was shooting for it would cost a little more than I expected since the amount of flowers to achieve it would be over my budget. After disappointingly expressing this fact, she offered to lower the price just so I could leave confident about the present to my roommate. Obviously this is not a common courtesy to maintain a profitable business so I appreciated it immensely. From other friends that are also customers I've only heard the best. She really does focus on the quality of her products and her integrity as a owner really shines. read more
