I am not entirely sure why Icar has become the first number I call when I need a taxi, but as it is I'd like to keep it that way. Icar has even become synonymous with the word 'taxi' as it's always the first company I call when I need one. So there's not much to say other than that it's one of the cheaper companies in Krakow that many locals use and they take you to the place you want to go! The call center generally has english speaking staff available, and when they say the car will be there in 7 minutes they sure mean exactly 7 minutes, which is great and reliable! read more

Used iCar (as well as Mega Taxi) several times during week in Krakow with complete satisfaction. Never dealt with hailing taxis, so can't compare. Had hotel call iCar and set up pickups so no language issues. Took iCar from hotel to airport with 5:15 am pickup for proice of 36 PLN, less than half of fixed rate with hotel taxi. Terrible service. During our city trip to Krakow we used this taxi several times for rides from our B&B to the market square and back, and also for a long ride to and from Auswitch. At the end of our trip we needed a taxi once more to bring us from the B&B to the airport. It took the girl on the phone a long time to understand where our B&B was, while that was never a problem before. When she finally understood, she said it was uncertain if we could get a taxi. And she said she couldn't call me back, she could only call to Polish numbers. So I had to call back myself in 20 minutes. When I did, she said there was no taxi available for us. Then we asked the owner of our B&B, who gave us the contact card of this taxi company when we arrived, to call again. She explained the situation once more iCar refused to send a taxi. She was obviously disappointed about the service of this taxi which she had promoted to us. The problem for us was easily solved because she called another taxi which arrived in 10 minutes. The price of iCar is slightly lower than most other taxi companies but their service is terrible, so better avoid it. read more
