They have their own parking garage where for 10 euro a day you get an assigned space with direct access through elevator to your hotel room floor. For electric cars they have free chargers on site. The hotel itself lifts this review to a 4 star, in what otherwise would have been a 3-star rating due to the restaurant and the spa. The restaurant and the spa are not to par. The staff at the restaurant is always in a rush for some reason, particularly at breakfast, any request is met with stress, rushed responses in german (although you were just asked a question in english and we are at a hotel?) and the spa is not worth it. They have a nice room with space for relaxation but the treatments are basic. We got the 50 min massage... nothing special about the actual treatment but also none of the niceties before or after which usually make a spa visit worth it. Bathrobes, tea, etc. Use your time to go to the harbor and get a drink instead.

So the multi-hour drive down, arriving in Flensburg, the hotel is next to the police station, which means be aware of where you can unload your car, vs parking in a police spot. Parking is about couple hundred meters down the street at a public lot, but I understand they are getting a parking lot/garage soon. The place is an old Post office, so there are lots of old touches, but it's definitely modern. Warmly lit, not overly bright, the lobby is large and spacious. The elevator and staircase to the room is near the entrance doors, as expected simple, minimalist. The hallways are large, and encircle the property, as at one point there used to be an open courtyard in the middle of the property, which is now the main atrium/lobby. The rooms are decent sized, bed is firm, but comfy, and the room has space to spread out. We needed a cot for the kiddo, and one was provided. The breakfast, is proper German, with Bread, lots of toppings, smoked salmon, picked and preserved fish, vegetables... cooked eggs, sausage, bacon, and other necessary foods like yogurt, cereals, fruit.. everything you want. Honestly, would I come back again, yes. Good location, just a block from the old city blocks, and all things lovely.. yes. Recommend.. Yes.

Full of hope I booked into this hotel for 1 night, but was disappointed. It was dark and daunting…read moreand situated in a poorly lit part of town. I had to leave my car in a nearby parking garage (wasn't sure the car would be there the next day). The room was ok, but I felt a bit unsafe. Glad to be out of there early in the morning (6:30 am)
