First time I came here, I requested a stylist who is skilled in balayage. The receptionist said that everyone here knows how to do balayage. I said ok, but please schedule me with someone who has extensive experience with it. I show up to my appointment and show the stylist a picture of how I want my hair. It's nothing difficult...very close to my original color. I just needed some refreshed highlights. I specifically said I do not want to be blonde. I want to remain brunette with a few lived-in blonde highlights. The result was the opposite of what I said. I was completely blonde! Like, white blonde! And it was not lived-in. She placed the highlights directly up to my scalp. When I got home my kids literally said it looked like I had gray hair. It was horrible. I called the salon and they got me back in to add more brunette back, which was great. I showed the stylist the same picture as I did the day before and pointed out how it should be mostly brunette, not blonde, and the color does not start at the scalp, that it should have more of a lived-in placement. She argued a little by stating that she thought the highlights started at the scalp. I zoomed in to show her they don't and that this is what "lived-in" means. I knew then and there I would never be back for my hair. Second experience: I needed to get a gel manicure. The person doing my nails completely missed parts of my nail leaving them bare! Multiple nails were not fully painted. Third experience: Decided to try a different nail tech in hopes for a better experience. The new person was definitely better with attention to detail, but she did not have a pleasant "bedside manner." She insulted me to the point that I left crying. I had been going through a particularly difficult time in my life and her comments about my nail color selection and personal preference broke me. You know when you just get to a point that you can't take any more stress? That's where I was at. Getting your nails done should be a positive, uplifting experience. You should never leave a salon feeling worse about yourself. I left a private review of my experience via email over two weeks ago and they didn't even reply to apologize. Update First: Honestly, Randy might be a good artist. Randy might take care of you. I'm not sure…read more But that was not the experience I had, nor do I believe that this shop has acceptable conduct. Since my horrible experience, it has come to my attention that my experience is not singular. The routine appears to be; Chris, without a care in the world mutilates you, you contact Randy for help, they tell you "come on in, Randy will fix it right up." To get more patronage out of you. Keep in mind, Chris has not been tattooing for a single year or something. Also keep in mind, I'm not able to simply have it "fixed up" right away, because it was done so deep and so poorly that four months later it is STILL not healed enough to be worked on. The rest of it is so unshaded and light that it's fallen out and is just a skin tinted gray. There's bumps constantly growing in the skin that don't go away for a long time, I could go on and on and on. This is embarrassing and ridiculous, I've got no other words to describe it. If you think that this is acceptable conduct, this is the place for you. Not to mention the rates, 130 an hour for a person to replicate like a blindfolded toddler trying to shade in-between lines as fast as humanly possible. If you like angry guys pretending you don't exist while they take their frustrations out on your skin, permanently, this is the place for you. Either way, this is a gamble, there's far less scary options than flipping a coin here. I grow hopeful that someone I trust can cover this up for me eventually however, and hopefully it'll be a nice piece and this is all a story I tell in the future, and I will be telling thing story. Stay safe, do your research on shops, most importantly don't let someone who looks pissed and won't talk to you bring a needle to your skin. Picture doesn't do it justice just how bad it is. Original Review: Genuinely 0 communication about anything, not about the tattoo, aftercare etc but also about placement, shading, literally spoke about four words to me. Paid for an hour got about 30 minutes for a very rushed tattoo that's got no shading at all in some spots and is way too deep in others. Shading literally seriously entirely outside of the lines. Literally been told it looks like it was not done in a shop. Also had our double appointment moved last minute, artist was impossible to reach and probably just wanted to spit the tattoos out and leave rather than actually craft art. First time experience so it felt impossible to recognize the problems and red flags.
