So much fraud and incompetence in this organization where do I even begin? I took my child to the…read morepediatrician here for an appointment last October. At the appointment he received a flu vaccine via a nasal mist. I later received a bill for the service in my name. I called about the error and their billing department accused me of lying and said I was actually the patient (a 38 year old woman In a pediatric office who allegedly can't handle a flu injection so a nasal mist was administered) So I filled a fraud case with my insurance, who contacted the clinic on my behalf. I later received a call back from my insurance that it was settled and the clinic was going to bill my son's insurance and remove the charge from my account. The doctor updated my son's note on January 6th to say the vaccine should be added to his date of service. A few weeks later I received another bill in the mail. I called the clinic and they told me it was in error and to disregard. Another month later I receive a bill via email. Again I call and am told to disregard. Flash forward to this week and I receive emails and calls I am going to collections. I call again, am placed on hold, they keep coming back and saying they are reviewing my account. Then after 22 minutes they hang up. I call the following day. Billing tells me I need to talk to medical records. I am transferred to medical records who tell me billing needs to handle it and they transfer me back to billing. I go to the clinic in person and request help. They inform me my child's account has never been edited, only his note, billing never fixed their error and I need to talk to billing. I say I have and they will not help me. I requested an alert be put on my account to not send it to collections as they need to correct their error first. The staff in clinic said they can not do that. I asked how long until an account is sent to collections, they could not provide me an answer. I asked to speak to a clinic manager, they would not let me. So they want me to pay this bill for a service I did not receive and was fraudulently charged or go to collections since no one in the billing department knows how to rebill an error they made to begin with.

I don't think they even looked at it or billed them as an annual physical. I told them I want a detailed bill of what each charge was for. Then I found out the Dr said I discussed a medical condition that I did not & do not have. Scam artists. I can't wait until Biden stops allowing Drs & especially health insurance not to be scamming people for necessary medical care. We don't have a choice in getting medical care & we shouldn't have to pay anything for it let alone be scammed.

I checked into the Urgent Care at Park Nicollet, where a very helpful person asked if I'd like to check out Smart Care. She said it was a new service and virtually no wait (v. the long line at Urgent Care). I thanked her and trudged a short way down the hall. Honestly, that moment likely changed my life, or at least my health. I was treated quickly and expertly and have since made Smart Care my primary provider. I've stopped in for vaccinations, treatment for muscle strains, more stupid sinus infections and have always felt that I received the best care possible. I can easily reach out to them through the MyChart website or with a quick phone call to see if an office visit is necessary. The whole team is friendly and knowledgeable. I always feel as if my concerns are heard and acknowledged. I recommend that anyone looking for a primary care team check this out!

Frustrated with the cost of healthcare insurance? Me too, and I worked in the industry for 40…read moreyears. SmartCare by Park Nicollet offers much lower prices, but dramatically limits you to providers within the Twin Cities metro area. Even then, many physicians (including my long-time primary care physician) who work for Park Nicollet are not part of the SmartCare program, which tends to rely on Physician's Assistants (PAs) for primary care needs. I've never been impressed by doctors with diplomas, at least outside of specific surgical expertise. I know many PAs whose expertise rivals those of general practitioners. For 90% of us, you don't need a doctor to diagnose your sore throat and prescribe meds. (In fact, an increasing amount of primary care is *finally* being made accessible through virtual visits.) It's been an active year for me, medically at least: two total knee replacements; a few asthma complications that required medication adjustments; a fun visit to the foot doctor to see if he could help level out my leg lengths after the first knee surgery; pre-op and PT visits for the TKRs; a lovely colonoscopy; and a few other visits I think. All within 10 miles of my Plymouth residence. Next year I probably won't go interact with the healthcare system more than a few times. Only nitpick: The appointment scheduling lines are consistently understaffed to handle call volume, so wait times of 30 minutes are not unusual. Ideally you can use the website to schedule an appointment, but sometimes you need more assistance.

They have been seen AND HEARD by caring, knowledgeable, professional people who are taking the time to educate and help them deal with extremely personal sexualty issues. I do not know all the technical terms but I CAN tell you that after a 17 year battle with many other less sensitive healthcare professionals my child is now becoming happier, more confident, and a mentally healthier individual. My child's patner is also seen here because she has an extreme reaction to needles. Family Tree is the only resource (after 7 other facilities) to supply the accommodation necessary for her anxiety control so a blood draw could be accomplished. The clinic has gone beyond any normal standard of care. Lastly, when visiting, I appreciate the calm attitudes, the unique waiting room, and the educational materials available. It is a SAFE PLACE for all.

Immediately made smart ass remarks about her opioids she on, despite her never even mentioning them, and made several more inappropriate remarks during the appointment. He jump down my mom's throat for details on her medical charts, that had nothing to do with the appointment. The entire time, he treated us with discrimination and hatred. We already knew from urgent care that she tore her meniscus. The only thing he needed to do was refer her to an orthopedic, and he never even did that. My mother has no issues with her meds, and her knee has been extremely painful to the point she can barely walk. She did not deserve the discrimination she experienced over being on pain meds. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here who expects to be treated with dignity and respect.

So 3 weeks after the 1600 miles he drove in 3 days ( fl to Mn), he had a MASSIVE heart attack right in the office ( 5 minutes fr HCMC ER) of our 25 year primary care doctor! WHAT luck! So in 10 minutes of the EKG test, he was in the ER!!! After 3-4 hours in surgery, one surgeon came out and said," his main artery in the rear of heart was 95% blocked and he would have survived for only 90 minutes... we put in two stints". HCMC ER is nationally rated as " the top ER Level One trauma center and number one in the entire Midwest ". Level one means they can handle anything - - gun shot wounds to head, chest, stomach the most deadly spots, falls out of buildings, MASSIVE car crashes, etc etc. My father taught biochemistry 40 years in a NYC med school and taught us how to care for all others in any situation. My husband post surgery, was hospitalized in HCMC for 4 days and entered their special Cardio Physical Therapy Program = 3X a week/full hour/for 3?months!! The hospital stay was outstanding in ALL respects. The nurses were attentive, and the post heart attack education done by a special doctor was SO excellent... my husband who has been a heavy smoker for 68 years... COLD TURKEY stopped smoking immediately. HCMC's post cardio physical therapy program is Rated NUMBER 1 in the Twin Cities. We agree 100%. First the 4 physical therapist's take your blood pressure and sugar/ glucose level every 15 minutes during the hour session. All of them are joyous, effervescent enthusiastic warm caring GENUINE folk! Just love them all! They play low, any kind of music you want and LIFT your spirits with their laughter. This is a major major reason why my husband recovered so completely. (And he contracted the same deadly pneumonia that killed the famous race car driver after just 5 weeks in physical rehab) We are most most grateful for this rare rare team of great folk.
