This place needs a lot of improvement still. I'll start with.. communication. It's terrible. You…read morecall them and they never answer.. leave a voice mail and never call you back. I've seen the managers on their personal phones but youd think they would take that time to answer voicemails. But nah. (I do want to note This was during my experience signing up.) I had questions about a lot of things and I was hoping for a phone call and never got an answer back. Regardless of reason why they didn't call back I think communication is important. 1/5 stars. Cleanliness.. it's okay but still has improvement. I've used their facilities before and took a shit and there was NO TP! This was also during the week. For being on their phones you'd think they would have a routine check everyday of their facilities but again.. nah. (This was the one time I called and they did pick up while I was at their facility) Otherwise the facility is clean I'm just not a fan of not wiping. 3/5 stars. Now onto equipment.. honestly it's old-ish and some are broken and not given much love by the workers. They should be doing weekly checks (after the phone call I had they do monthly checks) on these items to make sure they fix things that are broken or take notes to have things fixed. It is not the members jobs to be checking the equipment to see if it works. But again.. maybe they're too busy on their phones. Who knows (shrugs shoulders). 3/5 stars. Weekends are not staffed (which sucks) so during this time members come in with their GoPros to record but also make messes they don't clean up. Is this regulated? Nah. I want to be able to workout in a gym where I won't be made fun of, where I can workout my body so it fits the lifestyle I want in my life but also not be recorded or feel the need to pick up other people's messes just because I care and am nice. 1/5 stars. I've been with this gym for about a month now and if I was manager I'd be more involved and I'm only in my late 20s and I think this! I'm also a very passionate person when it comes to work and I think there's so much potential in being a worker in a gym. My experience hasn't been great (but it's not bad) This gym rips you off with prices. Definitely sign up when there's a deal. You walk in and it doesn't have that upbeat-ness you want to be motivated. The workers have been nice in person (I want to reiterate that they are not mean, they have treated me and fellow members with respect) but I just feel like they're inexperienced (in regards to making the gym more upbeat) because they are young but this is my take. I'm sure others may rave about this place. I think it's important to note everyone's experience is different. I'll continue to workout here because I have a year contract. But don't plan on renewing. If this place were to improve then I'd change my rating and my initial thoughts But for now I'd say 2 stars overall. Edit: someone did communicate with me. It was a transparent experience. I look forward to seeing future changes at this gym. I did elaborate more on my initial review to give more explanation. :)

The best gym in the town hands foe. Owners, managers and trainers are all amazing people. Great…read moreequipment variety and always keep things in good order. Space for machines, free weights platforms, racks, cross fit, cardio machines of all kinds and core area. You need it they have it. Tanning and changing rooms with showers also. At 24/7 you cannot go wrong on hours ever. As a former trainer myself with Anytime years ago I can say they still hire some if the best in the business as seen by all their client testimonials and transformations.

Wife and I were in town for the CrossFit Games in Madison. We wanted a gym that, if we could…read moreactually find it, would be a "hybrid" between CrossFit and a regular gym. Holy crap we found it - literally - with Hybrid Athletic Club! Want to do CrossFit stuff with turf, sleds to push/pull, ropes (both hanging and battle), dead balls, wallballs, a rig, GHDs, rowers, you name it? Got it. Want to do standard bodybuilding with dumbbells, barbells, basic selectorized machines or regular cardio on ellipticals or treadmills or step mills or an air bike or ....? Got it! The two women who own it are super nice and it's obvious they are REALLY trying to do well by their members. In the mind blown category, as if what I already said isn't enough, one of the owners, who is OBVIOUSLY a MUCH better person than me, remembered my name from the previous day. Huh? Yep. She came over to me as I was foam rolling and said "Hi David" - think about that, I'm in town for three days, I'll never have a full on membership there due to where I live, and she remembered my name. Hell, I go to the LA Fitness 3x/week and I can't even get the counter person to say high when they are HOLDING the fob scanner 18 inches away from me! It gets even better. They are a 24/7 facility with fob access. So we got a fob, paid the very reasonable fee for our three days of use and we were all set - we could come and go as we pleased, any day or time we wanted. That's almost weird it's so good - since it wasn't a globo Anytime Fitness and the like. The 2nd day I saw something I've NEVER seen in my 33 years as a gym rat and probably NEVER will again. There was a CrossFit class going on AND there was figure/bodybuilding/physique posing clinic going on in other areas of the gym. Think about THAT - CrossFit and physique co-existing in the same building? Yep - and since I love both it was pretty freakin cool to see. We will definitely be back to this facility when we return next year - this is OUR gym while we're in town now. We just wish there was such a place in Springfield. If I had more than two thumbs I'd give it more than two thumbs up - same goes for the five stars.

I initially wrote a review Fall 2011 and it was recently removed because I didn't come back to…read moredirectly update with "my first hand experience." Fair enough and my apologies for overlooking that by including my update in the Fit Fresh review. Hybrid shows real results via several ads that run in the WSJ. I was willing to pay the cost to join for those results in the time frame I had to complete. The bonus: I had a friend complete the program and although he's male (and men lose weight faster) I saw the same results in him and took his feedback to heart. So I was really excited to start the meal plan first and complete my bootcamp contract out then go over to Hybrid. My personal experience: The place appears to be clean and well kept. Hybrid Fitness apparently excutes the BCOR bootcamp committment in this area until someone else is able to handle the downtown/east/suburbian areas. I signed up with Bcor anticipating the start of my experience at the end of July 2012. Because of my previous experience and most recent email contact I decided this may not be smart to attend. I got unnerved after receiving a Yelp email that the Fit Fresh review received a response, but it was removed (no real issue there) + I received a harrasing message referring to my review via my inbox. So combine that inbox message with the removed message - call me smart to be nervous and suscipicous. Now, I'm over my fears of the Yelp stalker or at least the fears don't outweigh my hope in meeting my new deadline before having to report back to the unit. To that end, I'll report back in 90days how the workouts go.
