The salmon melted in my mouth and had a wonderful salt taste. It came with a medley of fresh vegetables: a few carrots, a broccoli and cauliflower head, and a few potatoes and some string beans. The Veal Milanese had mixed reviews. My Italian friend from Milan thought it was not perfect, a little oily. He gave us the history of the dish as we ate. But my Argentinian friend thought the scallopine was good and loved it. My Mexican friend had the veal scallopine and he thought the portion was too big but he thought it was excellent. There was a perfect amount of mushrooms in the perfectly caramel colored sauce. He did not finish it. Upbeat Italian music at a reasonable volume, lighting perfect to see each other and menu. Service good- there when we needed him. When we chose the wine, he recommended another which was an excellent suggestion. Festive Christmas decorations. I will however say this, it's not a place I am itching to return to :-) The decor is a bit dated and looks like some of the cafes you see in tourist filled piazzas of Italy. White table cloth, relatively expensive food and a dated crowd. The menu is huge and has tons of food on it. Their lunch card is quite reasonable and has a few interesting dishes. I had the Tartuffo for dessert and it was ok. Missing the intense chocolate I am used to, it tasted more like chocolate syrup in the middle. At €6.50 I was expecting a bit more. The coffee was ok and once again nothing special. All in all ok and, I will probably be back here as, some of my colleagues used to come here some years ago and like coming here. I found this nice Italian place (as luck would have it takes debit) coming out from the bank with ATMs that don't even have English translations. I don't know if the hunger contributed to it but that was the best spaghetti with garlic and olive oil (Who cares if I've never had it before. That shit was good). The service was great. There wasn't a maître d' but the bar is right up front so I asked the bar tender (spoke English so that's a plus) for a seat. He kindly had me seated right away. Waiters also spoke English. They were very helpful. Even gave me an English menu. This place is great.
