It's relatively easy to take the underground tram, A or C and use restaurant landmarks to navigate through the shops. You will see the sign and know this store will offer a better selection than other places. The prices are the same at other souviners shops so comparison shopping isn't necessary. I picked up some interesting bottle openers and coffee mugs. The woman was careful to wrap up the breakables and was very cordial. Spacing is tight so be careful when dealing with wide bodies from the US.

Everything in the store is made in the Czech Republic. I did most of my souvenir shopping here. The lower level has several different sections of items. The back section is full of cosmetic and bath products as well as jewelry. The middle section contains pottery and glassware. The front section seemed to contain more household decorating items. The decorated eggshells were beautiful. They even provide egg crates and wrap them nicely for safe transport back home. My favorite section of the store is the second level. This contains all of the hand crafted wooden toys. These are the perfect items to take home for any younger kids. They are well constructed and reasonably priced. Plus if you buy 3 or more wooden toys then you get 10% off all of them. This particular Manufaktura location contains a VAT refund section on the lower level. If you spend more than about $100, you can immediately get your VAT back (almost 20% of what you spend). Make sure to bring your passport and fill out the paperwork. They will process it for you and give you your cash immediately. Make sure to get the papers stamped at customs on the way out of the country and drop the papers in the nearby post office box. The one I visited was two stories, the bottom floor with lotions, bath products, etc. I saw a beer line that was really unique and I sampled a few testers and the lotions seemed high quality. But the real grab for me was their upstairs section, where they had a huge variety of handmade wooden toys. There are some mind puzzles in addition to the usual wooden toys that you'd give little kids. I bought two items here and was really happy with my purchases at the end of the day - we kept seeing other wooden toys and the ones here were higher quality and surprisingly, cheaper than the ones we found in the touristy stalls. The vendors mostly feature produce (fruits and vegetables), a honey vendor, a cured meat and spices stand, a couple baked goods spots, a vintage/local handicrafts shop, a few souvenir stands. I came in the morning around 8am on a weekday and many of the stands were just setting up. Honestly the majority of Prague seems to buy their groceries at supermarkets so while this format is great in continuity of a tradition, though I'm not sure if it can sustain in its current form over the long run. Hours are January to December: Mon-Sat 7:00am to 7:00pm Sun 8:00am to 6:30pm
